#1
I don't understand hwo they work. Don't sendm e a link to the trade rates b/c it all it dose is show a set of numbers w/o any specification what the numbers go to. it has metal, crystal, then deu., and it makes no sence, so can someone explain to me again (maybe w/o decimals if its not that much trouble) THank :D
If I had to choose who I would die fighting against, I would choose corrupt government.

Okay- the trade rates are set up in a range to allow the person who is offering some resources room to barter with what he has.

Lets say you have 1M in deut you want to trade and you want metal. If you were trading with a friend or alliance mate, you'd want to give him the best deal possible. So the rate would be 3 metal for every 1 deuterium, allowing your friend to purchase it at the lowest possible rate.

However, if you were trading with a stranger or someone with an over abundance of metal to unload, you'd want to get the highest rate possible (especially if he sounds desperate for a trade). Then, the trade rate would be 3.5 metal for every .5 deuterium, allowing you the greatest amount of profit from the trade.

Does that help?

If anyone would like an Excel based trade rate converter, send me a pm with your email address and I'll get it off to you as soon as I can.

Otherwise, send me a pm with your proposed trade and I'll convert it for you.

Could we all just use whole number amounts for conversion? I think it'd be easier if this were put up somewhere:
When You are trading...

-----------------------------Best rate ------ Worst rate (for You)
Metal for Crystal. ------- 3:2 ----- to ----- 7:4
Crystal for Deuterium -- 3:2 ----- to ----- 4:1
Metal for Deuterium ---- 3:1 ----- to ----- 7:1

OR
1.5:1 to 1.75:1
1.5:1 to 4.00:1
3.0:1 to 7.00:1

REVERSED ( i.e. Crystal for Metal, Deut for Crystal, and Deut for Metal) --->
2/3:1 to .57:1
2/3:1 to .25:1
1/3:1 to 1/7:1

I think it would make things less confusing. Perhaps not.
