Well, this was an interesting event this morning. I logged on and almost immediately I was PM'd by a player asking for help. He was being attacked by Tanktheman.

I got the details of the attack and determined that an ACS Defend was out of the question because his ACS Depot finished building about 2 minutes before the attack.

I asked for the attack times and fleet size. I quickly calculated for a Half Blind Phalanx hit. Sent Recs and launched. I must have been about 1 or 2 seconds in front of his fleet (confirmed by Tanktheman):

You receive 2000000 units of Metal, 2000000 units of Crystal and 1429288 units of Deuterium.
The attacker has lost a total of 0 units.
The defender has lost a total of 0 units.
A debris field containing 0 units of Metal and 0 units of Crystal has formed in orbit around the planet.


I launched again after probing and finding his fleet arrived back just after the first attack. This time the target was destroyed:

The attacker has lost a total of 0 units.
The defender has lost a total of 123.477.000 units.

Luckily for me the Recs had not arrived yet so I was able to capture all the DF within seconds after the second attack.

Feeling a bit lucky, I also launched Cargos to capture as much resources I could too, but he came online and messaged me.

I hate to spoil a party, but technically this hit was a return lanx / half-blind lanx and not a complete blind lanx. None-the-less it is the best hit skill-wise that has been on the forums in months. Enjoy the profits Torgard.

sorry to rain on the party but this is to true. if the first hit would have made it then yeah it would have been a return half blind lanix hit. but since you failed. then reprobed and launched....
anyways i think tank is really happy you didn't launch for the resources sooner lol.
