Hey guys,
I've recently started playing the game and it looks cool to me. One thing I don't like tho - the players are not noob friendly. I've been playing for about a month now and all I've seen from the players is how they are aiming at me. I've been trying to find someone to do me some moonshots for more than two weeks now and I've found some for 1-2 shots, but those were unsuccessful. Once my voyagers were caught coming back from expeditions and as they were destroyed I got lucky to get a moon - unfortunately 3 days later that moon was destroyed.
I am constantly getting probed and sometimes attacked by far stronger players - some of those players have attacked my colonies for resources like 60-70k metal/crystal. I've talked to a few guys looking for help but apart from pointing me out what strategies there are in the game and some small tips I got nothing. I am trying to stay positive and give my best to get better and competative, but it feels like it's me against the world.
That's just me thinking out loud. What do you think about that?
Re: Any noob friendly players here?
#2It's unfortunate but that's the name of the game.
Perhaps another server, another version of Zorg woould be more to your liking?
Standard for instance, 1 million point new player protection, in my view, waaay too high but it has its benefits to new players.
Other servers too, you might find them a little bit more "friendly". Xtreme, Massacre, Speed or Standard. A great set of choices,.
If you felt Standard was more to your liking and you are a player that raids, likes to grow thier account, come by and give me a shout perhaps?

first of all , STAY ON TOPIC AND DO NOT ADVERTISE FOR ANY CERTAIN SERVER
second , when it comes to noob friendly players , you are out of list
i know some players who quit just because you hit their low resources or pop their moons for no reason , bash their defense to be in top attackers ,etc etc
and for topic creator :
well if u don't leave much resources down and save ur fleets well there is no reason for others to attack u and if they still do , well it has no profit and they will waste their time
btw it is a war game ; notice that too

Re: Any noob friendly players here?
#4Remember, Reloaded is a new server and the pickings may be slim. This will cause others to come looking for less than normal amounts. Try not to become discouraged by getting attacked, it is part of the game and it is not unusual for it to happen. Instead, try bulking up your defenses. Another tactic could be to use the attacks to your advantage. Do this by building acs depots and work with your alliance to help defend you from attackers. A couple of successful acs defends will definitely make aggressive players think twice about advancing on you. Always fleet save when your offline and keep your colonies with as minimal profits as possible. Do this by spending your resources or fleet saving them.Runcho wrote: ↑Sun Jul 23, 2017 7:38 pmHey guys,

Re: Any noob friendly players here?
#5I hear ya all. I don't complain about people probing and flying for me, I am fine with it and I understand that it is how the game works. What I mean is that the big guys are not interested in teaming up with me. I have played a lot of games and I have to say I consider myself a team player. What I struggle in here is that I cannot find someone to team up with - what overdose suggests is exactly what I would like to try, but I can't do it on my own - it takes at least 2 people for that. This is what I mean by noob friendly.
Getting into another universe still doesn't guarantee I will find someone to help me out. Besides I've already put a lot of effort in the account I have and tbh I will be very lazy if I have to start over and building up the mines/colonies/research from 0. That brings me to another thing that I could try - someone told me that if I had previous account I could recover it? I believe I had an account long time ago that was more advanced than what I have now - more colonies and mines like 28/25/22 on most of them, but I don't recall in which server it was. Can I really get that back? That way I could try to grow in a different server too and see if I can find a more suitable play stile as suggested.

Re: Any noob friendly players here?
#6Yes and it for the most part never really was too terribly noob friendly...with a few exceptions of mega noob alliances...
Regardless a lot of the mechanics, basic or advanced are on the forums here. It is the goldmine for learning this game inside and out. If you don't want to be a noob I would start reading here. I would start with the basics posted I believe in the discussion section of x-treme by Istalris, Torgard, fishypond, neoshagrath. Otherwise if you have specific questions pm one of us on your server (Overdose, Demonprince, Miyamato, Ironfist) and we can probably help...in small doses.

Re: Any noob friendly players here?
#7Well, here is a question I could use an advice for.
As I said I got a small moon from voyagers caught overnight. I had that moon for 3 days and it got destroyed. Now I want to get a new moon so I can hide my fleet movements. How shall I proceed?

Re: Any noob friendly players here?
#8Lol, funny how it's always the crappest of the crap who charge up with the "you hit me" sob story. If you were a better player, you wouldn't get hit, but you are indeed, very crap. Also, it's noot your place to tell players not to "advertise" other servers, lol. Perhaps you should print the rules out, learn them before pontificating on how you see things. Keeps these rules in a safe place for future reference. In your school satchel? Next to the nice packed lunch that mummy has done for you, where you keep your dummy perhaps? Or have you spat that out and lost it? Mwahaaaaaaaaa......Alduin wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2017 12:03 ammightyoz wrote: ↑Sun Jul 23, 2017 8:31 pmIt's unfortunate but that's the name of the game.

As stated before to the original poster, come by to Standard, give me a shout. If not to your fancy, try another server perhaps? There are pros and cons with all the servers. But like a pair of shoes, you have to get the right one, one that fits you best is all.

There is nothing wrong with dipping your toes in to other servers and seeing how it goes. You can have one account per server. That would be very time consuming but, find the one best suited to you. We help our newer members (within the rules) as long as they help themselves too.
