Ok I sent you a private pm ...however futile all this seems now. So no, I will not retract my comments as I feel they are the views of many and for reasons I have sent you. Just to reiterate...Player who sold his account may have quit the server....but he did NOT retire the account to the player who gained from it...therefore it was not gifted as such....so "whoever" paid for the account sure had nothing else in mind except to crash and gain within 6-7 days of obtaining it.....and forgive me if I have quoted rules about cross server trades of any description or any of your other rules where appropriate.....thought that was the idea of forum and game rules. Apologies again if I have even that part wrong.

This all falls back to that accounts are swapped or brought or traded without following the rules there is way out of this and each account original email is sent a email everytime a account is logged in using different ip addresses or device in email sent there's a link to activate this new address or device if this not done in 48 hrs the account is put in v mode and locked till they email this will help cut out cheating players if you own account you should have the email address used in opening the account

The question in this case is not that an account has been traded but the way in which it was done.

Different email is not a criteria of determining whether an account has been changed or not.
For example, I may sign up with an email account that I change later. I may not have access to the initial account any more. I have been the sole owner of the account though.

The initial email is useful for us when trying to determine switched accounts. A working email belonging to a different person indicates a switched account. This is something we ALREADY do though. Crashing the fleet of a SWITCHED account is forbidden.

Let me explain in detail:

If an account is switched, as the rules specify account switching, then a mark is placed on the account (visible to all). Such an account is not allowed a retirement hit.

I explained above why (buyer especially) this rule should be also followed when a sale is conducted. Not everyone do this and unfortunately we cannot know all trades.

Therefore I explained that we have a method to resolve in a way that applies to all cases, not only to the ones that we get to discover.

So what we say? We say that account trading is not something that we concern ourselves. You do it, you take your risks, whatever. It is your private deal what you will do with your account. As far as we are concerned, we got about 10 rules in-game. Do you see any rule about Account trading there? Do you even see a rule about retirement crashes?

Yet some of you keep asking for clarification. Clarify this, clarify that. Do this, do that. You are trying to play a game and you want someone behind the scenes to check everything.

NEWSFLASH! WE CANNOT CHECK EVERYTHING!

If player A receives $200 tomorrow to crash his fleet to Player B and both decide to conceal it, NO ONE will ever know. And everyone will say, A FAIR RETIREMENT HIT.

What administration can possibly do at this case? How can we detect this case? We cannot. So, if we cannot detect it, we cannot have special ruling for the ones we manage to detect that will be by default very few. It is pure hypocrisy.

So what we say? We say that we enforce only what we can control. Account trading is not one of these things. So we never have really issued any bans that involved account trading as part of the ban reason.

Now, if such a case involved/involves further violations, (ie multiplay or account hacking) then a ban/penalty has been issued/will be issued.

then why did Player A feel the need to circumvent rules and involve a "3rd party" if all was originally within rules? I'll say again, when there is proof a "3rd party" was involved ask yourselves why said account was crashed within a week? ....and who actually paid the buyer more importantly!! All can see this was set up. Not trying to argue over a small point but when you mock and demand proof yet that is not enough then what are we to do?

To answer your question, the buyer could have used the seller to crash the fleet. Or he could have used a 3rd party like he did to avoid multiplay.

I repeat that:
If player A receives $200 tomorrow to crash his fleet to Player B and both decide to conceal it, NO ONE will ever know. And everyone will say, A FAIR RETIREMENT HIT.

So again, like I said above, we enforce only what we can control.

I cannot expect from you to understand how rules are created. You may think it is an easy thing, administration too. However, even moderation of the forums turns to be a hard task for most people.

So, you may thing that creating a rule to prohibit this will achieve something while we believe that putting a rule here will make things worse.

Also, it is not that we changed the rules to avoid punishing the player. It is more like you are asking us to change the rules to punish the player. A player with who YOU seem to have PERSONAL issues.

We have done nothing different here. Account ownership never played a role in retirement hits and will not play in this case either.

We have even better ways. The problem is not multiplay related though. It has to do with private deals between two or more players which we cannot control.
