Mintaka was smart enough to enter VM. You can't touch it no matter how buff you are.

Mintaka had a massive fleet and was #1 for so long because he had so much time, his income was from raiding. This is a good style of game play if you have the time and he could keep it up as long as he had the time & interest. I worked on my mines big time because I hadnt got as much time as him so I needed some serious production to keep me afloat while I was offline. In the last 2/3 weeks that Mintaka was active, I did close the margin of lead from 800/900k to 300k. This is when my mines paid off. I never would have passed him if he didnt lose interest but my style of play helped me compete with him (a little).
