Re: Fuel Burning on Recalling Fleets

I would support this idea, at least for fleet recalls that take place within the first few minutes of launch... It would certainly make a mistimed/mislocated fs, rec, or attack mission less painful. Whether or not it is fully "logical", I think it would be good for the player base, but that's just my opinion.

It's true, if we're really going to start arguing about the "logic" of the game, there are lots of problems other than this (Why does a deploy mission cost the same amount as an attack mission, when a deploy mission goes only one way? Just one example off the top of my head.)The game is riddled with peculiarities, once you start to get into it, and I think most players have at this point come to accept that. But I still think this change would be an overall benefit to the playerbase, if it weren't too difficult to implement.

sorry let me stop you right there, we moderators are not paid, we don't get a dime so honestly we don't care about the games profit... we care about the game and the community(at least for me) that's why we are moderators. We've been around her for a while and want to see the game grow.... That being said, that doesn't mean we should just back any suggestion... Now i personally don't like when people try to break down the logic behind a fictional game. I dislike this suggestion because I believe losing that Deuterium makes people more thoughtful and careful before launching a fleet as they do have something to lose (and in the case of players with million point fleets its millions if not hundred of millions of deuterium cost when they launch their fleet.) So I give this a no in my opinion.

Good thoughts from both Joshandrew and Pulsar. There are things that perhaps should be addressed before anything like this should even be looked at.

Again, it is not a fault in the game but just the way it is. As we started to the play the game, these are the conditions we were met with. Nothing has changed. We accept this and go ahead with it. Some of us have played longer than others, but all of us started this game, continued with it. Now it's a problem? I really don't believe it is. Just build bigger mines, give yourself more deut. Problem solved then within the game.
