one way to learn it when u get raided. a raid is a sign that means ur defense is not adequate or u are leaving way too much on ur planets and u need to pull resources off ur planets more often. try to adjust to a place where u dont get raided any more.
so for starters raids on ur planets are actually good cause u know where ur weakest side lay.
Well, what I've been doing has been to keep all my stuff centrally located and using it as it comes in. Fallen a bit behind lately though cuz I've been on vacation. I've also been spreading my planets around (1 per Galaxy). I had thought this would make it harder for someone to find all of them at once, though a recent spate of espionage actions on all of them has disproved that foolish notion. The dude who got raided though incidentally, I had just finished ticking off for having all his stuff spread around and too easy for anyone to raid. Had him pull everything back so he could get reorganized and that was when this raid happened.
so yeah, I guess the take away is spam defense structures for awhile.
*EDIT* I should also point out I never named any names in my OP. This was purely a question and answer thread, though some of the responses are probably a bit of a give away I'm afraid.
