Before I may begin, I'd just like to say, It's good to be BACK!
That grueling military service is very hard, torturous in fact. But, I'm alive.
And so, I decided to go back to ZE. There's something about this forum and browser game that keeps me from leaving this game for good.
Now, I've been writing a book for quite a long time.
About two months, it also is my past time during the service, hehe..
Anyways, I'm just gonna post seven chapters here.
I'm just gonna ask about your opinions, on what improvements could be made.
NOTE:
> This book is not yet proofread, so excuse some wrong grammars
> I've finished 20 chapters, I might give you guys the download link if I've completed all fifty chapters
> This book is meant to be in plain English, for people to understand, however, I'll be rewriting the book soon in detailed english, after I've finished this one

***Chapter 1: A Private's Diary***
It is March 6, 3104. Our former homeplanet, Earth, has been destroyed by those darn assimilators. No one knew where they came from.
I remember, it was in November 28, 3092 when they appeared. They just emerged out of nowhere, destroying anything and everything in it's path. Sadly, my family was also killed during the assault. I, together with other several battalion of troops managed to get aboard the F-370X just before the assimilators launched the plasma bomb on our planet.
I've seen our planet being crushed by that bomb. Giant explosions, Large masses of debris being shot into space. It was a terrible thing to see. Even up to this day, I'm still haunted by the thought of our planet being destroyed.
Now, under the presidential order, we've colonized the planet formerly known as 99942113, and now named as "Siegretron". Just like earth it has good amounts of water, breathable air made possible by our terraformer, and some animals.
The animals here were nothing I've ever seen back on Earth. I've seen swimming dog-like creatures in the air, and a giant Janitor fish walking on land. There are no aliens here. Well, no other intelligent beings here but us humans.
We take up more than 180 kilometres of the land here. The base is surrounded by the army, airforce and spaceforce. We have also set up satellites which can reach up to 1.9 million miles away from this planet so we can detect if any assimilators are nearby. At least then, we can have time to prepare for another attack.
We have also set up several land based defenses such as Gauss Cannons, Ion Cannons, Plasma Cannons, and some Heavy Laser Cannons just in case. There are abundant sources of Uranium here which can provide us energy for at least 6,000 years. The food here is also different. Those scientists are doing a good job at making food from their surroundings. I can admit, none of it tastes good. But it's better than nothing right?
Our life here is quite simple. Gather resources, Make food, Guard the planet, Space patrol shifts, construct infrastructures. Me and my group are assigned at the space patrol.
They've given our group a cruiser ship. We go back down to the planet to re-fuel.
The ship has it's own gravity stabilizer which gives us the ability to stand rather than float. The shield generators are quite strong. It can withstand a shot from our Plasma Cannon, so that should give me a feeling of safety.
Anyways, I've heard of a rumor that the Science Division is currently studying how to harness the power of gravity and use it as a weapon. But can you even control gravity? I'll be stunned if they ever accomplish that.
In the meantime, we humans will do our very best to survive and reproduce. We will never give up hope.
- Private Mick Walder
**Chapter 2: A normal day at the Office**
It was 3:42 AM when I was awoken by a slight bump in the ship.
I immediately got out of my bed then rushed to the deck.
"Any problems captain?", I said
"No, just bumped another space debris. Good thing these shields are thick", Captain Ace said, followed by a chuckle.
Captain Ace was a bulky man, has a large beard. Makes me think of him as a pirate. His cheebones are completely hidden, and his face resembles that of an old man, but I'll tell ya, He's a strong man. He once took out 2 Battleships on one space battle. His reputation soared him to be the captain of this cruiser.
"About time you woke up sleepy head", Private Tang said.
Tang resembles that of a typical chinese person. Short, thin, and always likes to wear his traditional chinese suit in times of celebration. I guess traditions never die despite of the hardships we've encountered.
"I haven't slept for 2 days", I replied
"Ok, before an argue arises, check the ship status Walder", the captain butted in.
"All right"
I then approached the gauges located just beside the captains seat. I was the technician of the ship. We were just 3 people on the ship. The captain, The shooter, Tang, and me, the technician.
I read the gauges then reported back to the captain.
"Supplies are at an average, probably will last us for 2 more weeks. Fuel is still high, shields full, Ion cannons working properly, Energy Generator ok, Engines ok, radar reports give nothing. Everything is in working condition", I said
"Good, then we're in for another boring day", the captain said.
"Yeah, well, boring is better than anything else", I said jokingly.
So, we just resumed to what we do everyday. Play cards, stare at the space, eat, sleep.
It was boring. But it couldn't be any worse than this could it? But this was the day that would change everything.
It was quarter to six, almost the end of my shift. I was about to go to my bunker until I heard the radar beep. The captain was asleep, and Tang was in the restroom, so I checked the radar.
My heart immediately sank, then shouted, "ASSIMILATORS!"
Tang came to the deck.
"That quickly?"
The captain yelled, "Turn on the shields!"
"Shields on", I said
the captain then turned to Tang, "Weapons?" Then Tang nodded.
"Good, let's get us some assimilators!", the captain said.
Just before we fired our ion cannons, a message from the general appeared.
"Return to base, I repeat return to base!", The general said. Then the image was gone.
The captain, without a word whirled the controls then we headed back to base.
About 7 minutes later we were back in Siegretron.
I immediately heard a mixture of the alert siren, and a guy in the mic saying "Everyone report to HQ. ASAP"
I, Tang, and the captain hurried to the base and we waited the colonel to arrive.
Minutes later he came in the waiting hall.
"We don't know how the assimilators found us that quickly. We don't even know how they bypassed our satellites. But they are here now. Everyone. Go to the ammunitions hall and grab your weapons. Teams 1, 2, and 3 will be assigned for space combat. Teams 4,5,6 will be in the air combat. Teams 7,8,9 and 10 is in charge of ground defense. Team 11 is in charge of medic care and teams 12, 13, 14 is in charge of ground combat. Anyone who is not called, you are in charge of the president's safety. What are you waiting for? For humanity!"
Then everyone shouted, "FOR HUMANITY!"
We all rushed to the ammunitions hall, I got separated from Ace and Tang. I hurried to get the armor and helmet, then combat knife. Then I hurried to get the Plasma rifles and EMP Pistols. I was instructed to team 3, Space Combat.
I was going to the shipyard until I heard thick explosions in the air.
Any minute now the assimilators would deploy their ground units to our base. So, I ignored the explosions and hurried to the ship. On the entrance I was immediately assigned to the turret division. There were thousands of people in the ship. It was a massive ship. But the size of the Assimilator Armada, I thought to myself that this would be no match.
I ran to the nearest turret control. As soon as everyone were in their position the pilot said on the speakers "Ok, 1st turret division, fend off the scouts and fighters. Then 2nd turret division take care of the battleships. Disable the engines as that is their weak point. The technicians turn on all shields and weapons...", then there was a brief silence. Then the pilot said. "Good luck everyone! For humanity".
He was in a low voice. I knew that he already knew that he wasn't goung to make it. But we will do our best for humanity. This was the real war of the worlds.
**Chapter 3: War of the Worlds**
The ship then came to life. The road could be heard for miles. This was the fight to make the human race live on. I, as a part of the human race will do everything to stop those assimilators.
I can see everyone praying that they live by the end of the day. They knew what to assimilators were capable of. It most certainly seems that they feel no pain. And they don't stop until they suceed.
the ship breached space in minutes. I can see the entire armada of our battleships in space. But when I turned to see the assimilator armada, there would be no way we can beat them.
I saw one ship immediately exploded right in front of my eyes.
"Laser cannons engage targets!", the pilot yelled.
"Cannons online. Alpha team fire on battleships, beta team retaliate the missiles", the head of the turret division said.
Just before the turrets fired, we received a particle cannon shot. The sound was like that of a nuclear bomb. Hopefully our shields absorbed all the impact. But the bad news was, our shields were knocked out. One more shot like that and it's over for all of us.
The turrets bega firing, one after another the lasers glowed.
The incoming missiles were retaliated but some of it has strucked us and heavily damaged our rear engines.
I again looked at my turret window and saw that most of our ships are being destroyed. The space was covered with our debris.
"Report on the other ship divisions", our captain said.
And then the speaker was filled with chaos.
"182nd Division has heavily damaged weapons systems"
"71st division just got hit by the particle cannon"
"81st, 2nd and 8th fighter divisions are wiped out"
"May day, may day, our battleship is heavily damaged"
"HELP US!"
"94th fighter division is bombarding assimilator fighters"
"May day, may day!"
"4th battle division is falling!"
"Evacuating ship!"
The voices of dying men in the speaker was unbearable to hear. Our entire ship was filled with silence.
The pilot turned off his radio.
The silence was then broken by another particle cannon hit. Our ship was falling.
Everyone hurried to the Evac Drones to head back to Siegretron.
I was running towards the Evac bay, but then I saw our ship crack. Our ship is tearing apart!
I pushed harder to one of the Drones. I eventually got into one of the drones.
The drone immediately thrusted its engines back to surface.
As we were heading to the atmosphere, I saw our ship completely obliterated. Bodies flew everywhere.
Most soldiers in the ship cried. The sight was gruesome. Why should the human race suffer like this?
Minutes later the drone crashed hard to the land, luckily no one was hurt.
We got out of the drone and equipped our weapons. We rushed to the HQ as fast as we could. On the way, I looked up to the sky to see what was going on in space. All I could see was what looked like fireworks. It was our armada. The armada was thinning, I knew without a doubt that any minute now the assimilators would reach the surface.
We have no backup ship to colonize another planet. Even if we did, we need still need to construct another teraformer to make life on that planet bearable. But making a terraformer for human hands is just impossible. If robots could build one in 4 years, how long can humans alone build it? 100 years? 200 years? a thousand years? It's just impossible.
At the HQ we were again to wait at the lobby for further orders.
The General came in, in just seconds.
"All right. I'm very glad you have all made it here alive. I feel sorry for our troops who were killed in duty. But this is not the time to mourn. Right now, it is time for us to defend the land. We have deployed at least 6 Ion cannons and 34 Turrets while the battle on space continues. 40 people in front of me will be assigned to the turrets, the rest will be on land combat. We cannot face them head on, so We will just stay in these walls. Our defenses should hold enough for a couple of days. We need to defend it at all costs since our scientists have reported that they have discovered how to harness the gravitational energy. We will immediately begin to construct the graviton cannon. It should be completed in 2 days. This is our only shot to win this once and for all. So all troops, give it your best! Dismissed"
I was happy to have heard that we can harness the gravity. It was the most relieving thing I've heard all day. But we shouldn't be excited just yet. The real challenge was to defend our HQ until the graviton cannon is finished. By then they can launch the brainstem of the assimilators out of this world.
For humanity...
***Chapter 4: Stronghold battle***
I immediately took cover to what looked to like a sniper bunker. It was situated on the upper left side of the HQ. The bunker was small, reinforced with steel, has 2 fireports, it was a good spot. Away from shooting range, and quite stalthed. It blends good with the surroundings. At this point, it was not anymore about the defending for me. It was about survival.
I will defend the HQ for as long as I could, if we get overrun, I'll hide in the jungle in hope of the assimilators leaving.
I got in the bunker, and to my surprise Tang was there!
"Hey! Walder! Good to see ya again! Glad you survived that shooting out there!", Tang said in a quite cheerful voice
"Yeah well, No assimilator can kill my ***", I said, joking. "Anyways, where's captain?"
"I don't know. But I bet he's still kickin' *** on space"
"Well, I hope he's ok"
"Yeah. Anyways, have you heard? One of them scientists have developed a gadget to harness the gravity. now ain't that just fancy"
"Yep. I flipped out when I heard that", then the bunker was filled with laughter.
"Anyways, we got 2 more people here, lemme introduce them to 'ya"
"sure"
Then Tang grabbed something on the floor. It was another buker. A safe house if you must. I thought to myself that this was the safest it could get. We then walked down the stairs and saw two other men preparing their guns.
Inside the underground bunker was another 2 firing holes. Probably hidden on the surface since it's covered with these leaf like objects. It was a good spot, although sight range is limited only to the ground. Nevertheless, a safe spot.
"All right, here's Private Depp, a medic"
"Nice to meet you", Depp said
Depp was a normal guy, clean shaved, has a short hair and has a european accent when he speaks.
I shook his hand then Tang introduced me to the other soldier.
"And this is Private Townes, a sharpshooter"
"Glad to meed you mate", Townes said.
Townes wears a pair of glasses. Despite those glasses he managed to be a sharpshooter. He is arranging his Particle rifle in place for the upcoming attack. He is quite old looking, I bet he's an expert at what he does.
I greeted the two soldiers then Tang lead me back up the bunker. We prepared our Plasma rifles. We were given three pieces of thermal detonators.
These things contain a lot of pack despite their size. It can probably explode like 2 packs of C4. I'm always fascinated of what is hiding inside these little things, but I never really got the time to know it.
Minutes later we were finished preparing our rifles. We checked downstairs to check the other soldiers if they were also done, and we also checked our food supplies. It can probably last us for 4 days. We went back up to our posts then the radio buzzed.
"Our armada is completely destroyed, we have a couple hundred survivors, We will be sending them to the corner bunkers. The rest will help the construction"
Then the radio buzzed out.
"I'll bet you 16 rounds of these EMP pistols. We're gonna make it out today", Tang swaggered.
"You're on bud", I said.
"By the way, how'd it go up there?"
"Well we were hit by two rounds of particle cannons"
"Anything else?"
"Particle cannon ain't enough for 'ya?", I laughed, so did Tang. "What about yours?"
"Let's just say our captain whited out"
"I'm sorry"
"No need", Tang said, a slight shaking in his voice. "It's not your fault"
Silence then filled the bunker. Minutes later a troop arrived at the bunker. To my surprise, it was our captain, Captain Ace.
"Boy am I glad to see you both", Ace said with a delight in his voice.
"Me too", Tang said. "So, how many was it?"
Ace then chuckled a bit then answered, "Took out 2 rounds of missile then crushed an entire fighter division"
"Wow. What turret division were you assigned to?"
"The Plasma turrets"
"You cheater"
"Life is always unfair my friend", he said. He then turned to me,"So ,what about you son? How many did you take out?"
"Just 4 fighters", I said.
"4 Fighters? I haven't seen you killed a bug before and you killed 4? Nice job man!"
"Yeah well, the armada was thick, how could I miss anything?"
"Good point"
Our conversation was then cut short by an explosion on the south-east bunker. About a mile from the HQ. The assimilators were approaching ground.
"All right, get ready to hunt some assimilator scumbags!", the captain said, a full determination in his voice.
Moments later there was another batch of explosions, then guns started shooting. We can hear the heavy rattle of our artillery.
Then the transports arrived.
It carried five tank like creatures known as Desolators. These desolators have a long nose like tube, probably resembles an ant eater, only this one is as big as an elephant, and is armored.
It then began firing on the walls.
We then began firing at the desolators. The desolators stopped firing at the walls then began firing close to us. The cover of the bunker was working.
We used up a clip or two but then we realized something.
The Desolators have new armor. These lasers aren't enough to penetrate them. Without a though, I grabbed one of the detonators then threw them beside the group of desolators. All of them exploded.
Their armor may be new, but these thermals can destroy just about anything.
But we need to conserve our thermals since this battle is just beginning. We need to know what their weaknesses are or it's the end of us.
Moments later their artillery arrived. This was easy since we only have to shoot their thrusters.
"I got three of 'em", the captain said.
"C'mon no fair I only got one", Tang yelled.
"keep up Tang and Walder", he chuckled.
I looked out of the window, but then out of nowhere one artillery launched a grenade like thing inside our bunker.
"Grenade!", Tang yelled.
All of us on the upper deck of the bunker got out of the bunker to get away from the grenade, but the blast radius swept us all of our feet.
I was for a moment muted in the world. I saw our captain lying on the ground, moments later, my senses became clear. I approached our captain.
"Captain, you all right?"
There was no response.
"I need a medic!", I yelled.
And then again, out of nowhere another of these creatures appeared and smacked me unconscious on the ground. I thought to myself that this was the end of me.
***Chapter 5: Stronghold Battle pt. 2***
I regained consciousness when I was woken up by Tang. I can hear him faintly screaming, "Wake up! Walder wake up!"
At first I though I was going deaf, but then my hearing slowly returned, the first thing I've heard was explosions, one after another explosion sounds are everywhere. My sight also turned normal. Just in time to see our captain being rushed back to HQ.
"Is he gonna be okay?", I immediately asked.
"Yeah, he'll be fine, who wouldn't he be? He's a bulky man", Tang replied.
I can now clearly see what smacked me unconscious. These things were not like anything I've ever seen before. They were slim and carry four blades, one on each arm. They have eyes everywhere. This assimilator is cloaking.
The assimilator's arsenal of gadgets keep on improving each year by a lot.
I wonder how they do these things.
"Okay, come on now. Let's get back to the bunker", then paused to look at the ruined bunker, "Okay, let's go to the underground bunker"
The underground bunker was made of tough steel, titanium, and a pinch of diamond. It could easily survive a dozen thermal blasts.
We rushed to the underground bunker, I picked up the captain's weapon just in case we run out of ammo.
When we reached underground, I can see Townes and Depp are trying to fend off all the incoming assimilators, but despite their best efforts a lot of assimilators are getting through. The only thing killing those assimilators are the turrets. But these ammo will run out sooner or later.
"These things are tougher than before!", Townes immediately said
Tang escorted me to a wall, let me go then told the medic I needed help. I have several bruises and a bleeding arm. The medic then approached me to fix me up.
"I know, our weapons are primarily useless against these things. Only way to knock 'em out are these thermals, but these are just to precious to use", Tang said.
The two troops just keep on firing, shot after shot after shot. None of the assimilators they were shooting are being destroyed. It's like these things are impenetrable. Those guns we were using are just crumpled paper being throwed at them. How do we hope to succeed the defense from these, things?
Right now we are safe from the shooting outside. The cover was working perfectly, the debris is also helping with our cover. Moments of waiting the radio buzzed.
"Troops return to HQ, we got reports that these things have new armor. Return to HQ, we need you to produce ammunition for the turrets. It's the only thing that can stop them"
"About time", I said.
"C'mon now, lemme help you up", Tang offered.
How could I refuse? I got a badly bruised leg. So we checked the upper side of the bunker, see if it was clear. It wasn't. There were a lot of troops rushing back to HQ. A lot of them were being killed by the assimilators. I had a slim chance of making it to HQ, there were a lot of shots being fired. But this was not about life or death. It was for the human race.
"Let me go, I think I can run", I requested.
"You sure bud?", Tang asked.
"Yeah, I can handle a little bruise"
"OK, but when you fall I'm not getting you", he joked.
"Sure, and now I'll bet you. 24 rounds of EMP I can make it back there"
"You're on", he said. "All right, in the count of three", he then turned to Depp and Townes, they nodded. "1, 2, 3! Go, go, go!"
We rushed back to HQ running for our lives to protect our clan. While running I can feel my bruise eating my energy. I can sense the pain sharply everytiime I tried to run. I hear explosions everywhere followed by the sonicboom produced by the turrets. I was almost back to the HQ, glad to made it alive. I turned to look at the grueling sight of the battlefield. I saw Depp, he was lying down on the ground. He died trying to run. I've got no time to mourn, although deep inside I wanted to help him.
I ignored my feelings then rushed back to HQ, inside there were medics standing by, one medic tried to help me but I told him I'm ok, so he let me pass by.
Moments of waiting the President arrived, I haven't seen the president for quite a while. The general was always the one briefing us, but since the president is here, I believe it's something important.
"Greetings everyone. You have done a good job defending the base out there. But right now, we all know that these things have improved armor. The only way to keep them off bay is our turrets. But soon though, our turret ammunition is gone, so I want all of you to produce ammunitions for our turrets. While you troops are on to producing ammunition, part of our science division are", then an explosion cut the president short but then he continued, "part of the science division will be working on ways to know the weakness of these new assimilators. So, our graviton will be slightly delayed, what was two days of preparation will now be moved to five days. I'm terribly sorry for the long delay, but this is all for you troops, and all for our race. For humanity. Now proceed to the ammunitions bay to produce ammo"
Right after the president left, we all rushed to the ammunitions bay. What was a room full of weapon was now entirely converted into blank space. Probably now resembles a factory. After being awed by the new conversion, we rushed to work. I'm assigned at the production of Gauss ammunition since I don't know how to handle chemicals and those sorta stuff. I began working.
In just about 4 hours of work, we produced a total of 73 rounds for our gauss cannon. I know this was not enough, we have to triple our efforts if ever we want to live for another day.
The general came in the bay and began his announcement.
"Good job in defending the base and producing ammunitions today. We've received word from their leader a ceasefire. I assume they will be producing newer troops, so we cannot just celebrate just yet. We have to keep producing ammunitions for our turrets to keep us alive. Anyways, carry on working"
Then the general left, there was a huge relief that made some of the troops in the bay shout for joy. I also wanted to shout, but I managed to control my emotions and just put out a smile. We humans are here to live another day.
***Chapter 6: Calm with a chance of storm***
Night came along, but we were still working our asses off on making these ammunitions, by now, we produced a total of 281 rounds of gauss ammo. The general then came to the bay and said.
"All right troops, you fought hard and worked hard today. Now, you party hard!"
Then other troops came in along with the president, then dropped the boxes. The general then opened the boxes one by one. There were crates of beer, crates of jerky, and crates of other stuff. Guitars, Video Games and the like. The room was filled with joy. In a long time we haven't really had the time to be happy. We are gonna party like mad here since this might be the last time we'll ever party.
I grabbed 4 bottles of beer, and a guitar. Man I've been wanting to play one of these since earth was destroyed.
I met up with Tang hours later then went to check in on our captain. He was asleep, but was woken up by the cheering of the people outside.
"Whats with the recket outside?", the captain asked.
"Oh, people are partying outside, the assimilators gave us a ceasfire", I said.
"Well ain't that just fancy"
"Beer?"
"Sure", I gave him the beer then began speaking, "What happened to your arm?"
"Little bruise, it's nothing"
He chuckled, "Ha! About time you've manned up"
"I know"
"Say, I need a lieutenant while I'm away. Tang you up fo it?"
"Oh, me? no. no. I can't take that, what about Walder here? He's the one that saved your ***", Tang laughed.
"All right then", then the captain turned to me, "You up for it?"
How can I refuse him? I've been a private all my life, I'm willing to try something new.
"Okay, I'll accept", I said.
"Good. You're in charge of Tang now", he laughed hard. So did both of us.
We then bid farewell to our captain, then headed back to the party.
On the way back to the party Tang and I had a short conversation.
"So, what are your orders, Lieutenant?", he said sarcastically.
"Shut up!", I said.
"Seriously, don't try to be bossing me all the time man", Tang said.
"Ha, I don't even know how to give orders"
"And I'm the one that's gonna save your *** all the time", he laughed.
"I'll try to look out for myself"
"You better"
We headed back to the party for another 3 hours. By then, I decided to go outside. I remembered Depp. I thought of giving him a proper burial. It wasn't right to leave him there.
I went outside then did what I thought of doing. I gave Depp the proper burial he needed. Then looked around my surroundings. There were lots of other bodies lying around. It was impossible to bury them all, so I let them be. I looked out the night sky. It was filled with debris. It glowed using the moons reflection. There were 3 moons here, although two are only visible since the other one is hidden from Eisley II aka sun.
I noticed that the assimilator armada was gone, maybe they'll return some other time, when they've learned how to counter our turrets. But we now have a graviton cannon. Gravity can't be countered. It's like shooting a 20 meter black hole into space. How do you expect to counter that? This will be the ultimate weapon. Although we have to be extremely careful because I've read the reports. If the graviton cannon is destroyed it might backire on us and turn the entire planet into a black hole. Yes, it would destroy their entire armada, but it would wipe the human race out. So now, we should develop making a shield dome. But that project was scrapped long ago.
Anyways, it was getting dark. It's time to end the day. It's not going to be another ordinary day tommorow.
I was going to the bunker to sleep until I heard something out of the ordinary. Some sort of twig cracked. I thought it was one of those alien animals, so I just ignored it.
I slept for four hours or so then there was a sudden explosion.
I woke up then grabbed my EMP pistol and combat knife then went outside. I have no time to grab the rifle since it was heavy, and this was an emergency.
I got out of the bunker to see 3 clouds of explosion rise above the night sky. I still have a slight hangover from last night's party so I couldn't think straight. I just stayed in my position to check if there are nearby enemies. As soon as it was clear, I rushed immediately to the nearest bunker where the explosion occured. There were bodies lying everywhere.
From the distance I can hear screaming. The assimilators lied in the request of ceasefire. They sent their spies to do some damage to the base. Those creatures. Suddenly, one of the creatures approached and knocked my pistol out of my hand, lucky for me, I got a chance to grab my knife just before the creature attacked.
I tried slashing their heart since it was their weakness but these things were faster than other assimilators. The assimilator grabbed one of my arm and raised me about two feet in the air, then revealed a short blade from its other arm. Without a thought I struck the knife on the arm holding me, and the creature retreated for a short moment.
I noticed that this creature is unarmored unlike its other teamates, this would be easy if only it weren't for their speed.
I then tried to stab the creature's heart but as I got there, he was already on my back then slashed me.
Luckily I avoided the attack and only slashed me on my arm. The pain was horrible, but I easily ignored it.
I tried to stab the creature's heart again, but now he's on my side.
He knocked me off and threw the knife away from my hand. I saw my EMP pistol and crawled fast to grab it but the creature also threw that away from me.
Another second, he's not crouching under me. It revealed it's short knife to stab me, but then the creature was shot in the head and fell down. Seconds later, it died.
I tried to stand up and grab my weapons before another of these creature comes. I grabbed my pistol but then another of these creatures sprung out of nowhere. I immediately shot about five rounds of my pistol. The EMP took it's effect and the creature died.
I ignored finding my knife and hurried to the nearest cover.
I reached the HQ, all the exits were covered with troops. One by one the creatures died. This was easy since they weren't armored. Minutes later the attack ceased.
But we didn't stop our firing positions. We were on halt to prepare for another attack.
About two minutes later we heard some kind of wind rushing towards us, then a second later it was inside the HQ killing at least six men in its surroundings, we immediately fired on the creature until it's dead. Twelve more attacks came killing a total of eighty-six soldiers. We still held a position for another two hours, but no other attacks came. So we stopped at our combat positions to help the wounded soldiers.
We were then commanded to the waiting bay for another speech. After all the troops were in, the general came in and began his speech.
"These were some new technology of the assimilators. The attack was completely unexpected. What all the other generals thought, the ceasefire was true. But we were wrong. Right now, half of the troops will be in patrol and the other half will be in ammunition production, each in that troop, half will be taking a twelve hour break, while the other half will be working, and vice-versa. The scientists are still making that graviton cannon so hold on. Never give up. For humanity. Dismissed"
As usual I was assigned with patrol. I took my position in the bunker where an assimilator blew the top bunker up. I went downstairs on the guard bunker which was safe from most attacks and hidden from enemy sight.
These things were unfair on fighting us. I guess it's their technique. I wonder what other tricks are up on their sleeve. I hope I don't encounter them. And they better hurry up at that graviton cannon. All I wanted was to live peacefully, without these things distracting us.
I wanted the old world back. Full of crime, but safe to live in, unlike now. No crime, but never one bit safe.
***Chapter 7: Assimilators, The plot***
About 873 Lightyears away was Jamenkari, the home of the assimilators.
Their planet has no sources of food or any liquid material. It was an urban wasteland. Huge piles of storage depots are used to store their captured resources. They also have a depot where they keep their captured species.
The assimilators, basically were scavengers. They raid planets for liquid and food supplies. These assimilators can consume anything. From dead rats to precious metals. And drink liquids from water to liquid nitrogen. Their appetite for anything is big. They can consume anything.
The assimilators always go on an expedition to gather resources from planet to planet. They first check the planet if any intelligent creature exists, if anyone was intelligent enough to fight back, the assimilators send signal to their planet for back-up. Just like what they did on earth. They sent their armada, killed all creatures, gather resources, and blow the planet up. They never want to be known to any creatures that can remember. Any creature that remembers them must die, because they are too paranoid enough that their prey might attack them in a later time. Although, if they still survive after the raid, then they'll just leave the creatures alone. But the humans, they have a different situation. That's why they chased the humans to Siegretron.
But a lot of their brothers have died, what used to be just an extinction process turned into war. They made it their mission to destroy all humans ever since.
The assimilators are just organisms that use technology to make them stronger. The assimilators are very smart. They can discover all the uses of something in a day.
In the Hive of the assimilators.
The assimilator leader is currently seating on his desk, it is currently facing a screen, contacting someone.
"Captain, report", The assimilator leader commanded.
"We've succesfuly sabotaged some of their bunkers and killed dozens of their men", the captain replied.
"Good. Ceasefire, in the meantime", the leader paused, then continued, "Send the spies, out them inside the HQ, see what they are currently planning"
"Yes my lord"
"I'll send in another battalion to escort you captain. In the meantime, harvest the scrap metal produced by the debris of the battle"
"Yes my lord"
Then the screen was shut down. The leader left its chair then entered a room full of other assimilators which seemed like their generals.
Everyone in the room stood up.
"Great, everyone is here. We can now begin"
Everyone then sat down.
"We have currently developed a new technology that can counter the human turret defense system. It is called glaciermophina. This new technology allows us to be unaffected by the human turrets", he paused. Then continued, "Basically we'd be invincible against all the human weaponry systems, although there's a downside. We are vulnerable by the human meelee weapons. So, the best bet would be to fire from a safe place. Fire from space. The human armada is completely destroyed so, this would be an easy picking"
"Why can't you add another armor layer to the glaciermorphina?", one assimilator asked
"These new substance is very volatile against other synthetic materials that they've killed two of our scientists due to corrosion. In a big scale, it's like carrying a bomb while shooting in combat", he paused and thought for a while, "Besides, we'll fire from space, we don't even need to engage the humans directly anymore"
Everyone in the room fell silent, faint whispers are all over the place, then fell quiet again.
"All right, we agree to mass produce the new substance", one assimilator said.
"Very well then, dismissed", the leader announced.
Everyone left in the room, then the leader assimilator went back to his lair and turned on his screen.
The image he was seeing was the one from the spy his captain have sent. It was a drone. He don't care if it was destroyed, he has millions of these in reserve.
This was really the end for the human race, he thought.
He smiled grimacingly.

***Chapted 8: The Graviton cannon***
I didn't get to sleep that night, we still feared that another of these creatures would come and attack us again. All of us got to work.
It's either the "do nothing" patrol, but when the enemy comes, it's high risk, or the "work hard" ammunitions production, work your asses of, but be safe inside the HQ walls.
I'm assigned to scouting the area. So far there we're no attacks made at the HQ. I've heard that they are making good progress in the graviton cannon.
They have already stored the gravity, now they are making the device to shoot gravity at a very high speed. Storing a gravity is one thing, but making it go faster in another direction is another since gravity has a spin of one, meaning gravity is just rotating in one place, gravity needs something to push it at a very high speed.
That's as far as I know for now. I don't want to get into all the details since I might end up being a nerd and sit down all day at the science facility researching.
I guess for now, this was one of those boring days again, and back to the usual routine. For the scouting division though.
What bugs me though is that, knowing the assimilator tactics, they should've attacked us by now. But no. They really are making a ceasefire. I bet the assimilators are producing another new technology to aid them in fighting. Who knows.
In the science lab.
Scientists are working double in making the graviton cannon a reality. The president has given them an extra pair of hands at the start of the project, but the lack of knowledge the troops can offer, the scientists dismissed the troops an hour later.
The president always comes in at the lab once every three to four hours to check their progess, they knew that the president was anxious at getting his old life back, so did they. So did everyone else.
Back at the bunker.
Late in the afternoon, I heard a a noise, probably resembling to a hover craft hovering in the air, so I checked where it lead. The moment I got to the source though, it was gone. I returned to the bunker.
"Hey, Tang you heard that?", I asked.
"Heard what?"
"The hovering sound earlier"
"What hovering sound? The only sound I can hear was the footsteps of the troops walking by and you talking"
"I guess I'm just imagining things"
Three days passed by. But no attacks were made by the assimilators.
This day, the president himself made us wait at the waiting hall for about ten minutes or so, and then came in, smiling. I knew that the graviton cannon was done even before he announced it. I wanted to yell my "yipee!" but I kept my excitement until he finishes his speech.
"Today is a very important day for us", he began,"This is the day that would change the human race forever. What some of you thought was impossible is now possible". He paused for a while, I thought he was looking for a drumroll of somesort, "The Graviton Cannon is done!"
Then an uproar of hapiness aroused. Everyone in the hall was happy, everyone celebrated and shook hands to congratulate one another. Despite the noisiness in the hall, the president continued, "Here are the scientists that made it all possible, scientists come in here!". The scientists then came in the stage, everyone was happy since this was the rise of the human race again, we can now counter the assimilator technologies and gadgets. We humans are here to stay alive.
"Congratulate yourselves because you took part of this. Each and every one of you here are a part of the graviton's production since you defended it from the assimilators. I'm all very proud of you. Now, next time the assimilators come here to attack us, we now have a weapon against them"
After the speech the president left and we all celebrated, although it was only for a short time since the alert level is still high, we still have to do our jobs to scount and produce ammunition.
Despite the lack of celebration made, every troops morale was at a high. They now have a will to live. Everyone is waiting when the assimilators would attack them again.
***Chapter 9: The Big Attack***
Three days after the graviton cannon was finished, we've got what we want. For once, call me crazy, the assimilators are here again. They are in for a big surprise.
Everyone was immediately alerted that the assimilators are here, as expected though, they have new technology.
But this time, our technology would stand against their weapons and shield systems.
We've disguised our graviton cannon as an ordinary turret since we don't want to attract attention to the assimilators.
All the troops were in their position. The scientists aimed high at the sky, directly into space. Per shot, the cannon should have exactly about one to two minutes depending on how long the gravity can be filled in the cannon.
The first shot was fired directly at the armada.
For the first time, it was the most shocking experience for me.
What was shocking is that all our weapons were pulled to the cannon when the gravity was fired.
The feeling is completely unexplainable, they should make a word for this feeling. I felt heavier than my original weight. I also felt like I was pulled into the cannon. Our weapons were all pulled away from our arms into the cannon. All the troops were awed by the power of the cannon, but no time for that. We all grabbed our weapons and then returned to our posts to look at the sight of the sky. Once I knew that we can't look through our naked eyes, I grabbed my space goggles to look through the clouds and directly into space. The sight was incredible. They were shocked by what just happened. They don't even know what happened. I managed to make out a smile.
Most of their armada is obliterated, it's like a giant ship passed through those tiny ships and leaving a path on its wake.
The divisions were cut into two.
But what the incredible sight the space gave us was quite horrible on what happened here on Siegretron. One of the scientists was badly injured due to the pulling force the cannon produced, he was unconscious. All the other scientists were alive but injured. The medics rushed to the bleeding scientists and took it inside to cure him.
Then the siren alarmed.
I thought to myself, how could anything be inside the HQ? There were no ships nearby, and the assimilators gave us a ceasefire. This wasn't really a ceasefire.
Most of the troops rushed back into HQ while some just stayed outside since they were still on patrol, I bet though that they wanted to get inside HQ badly.
I was one of those who got in the HQ, the general rushed in and just said a few words.
"We have a spy loose inside the HQ, I want the half of you to go outside and resume patrol, while the rest stay here and search for that spy. The spy now knows we have a new weapon. We must hunt down and kill the spy before it calls for back-up"
The general then grabbed his weapon, then rushed outside to hunt the spy. We all did the same, we spread out throughout the HQ.
This spy, no doubt, is invisible since no one has got it yet.
But what the general failed to say is how to find the spy.
No one exactly knew since it is invisible.
But we cannot question the general know, we are trying to find a ghost.
I checked the roof of the HQ, where the graviton was placed, see if the spy is also a saboteur. But there were no signs. I then went to the dining hall, but in here too, there was no sign. I now went to the ammunitions bay, maybe it's gathering info regarding the turret ammunitions.
My hunch was right, I can see some rattling on the ammos lying in the table. But I didn't took the opportunity to fire yet since I might hit one of the ammunitions, then blew the entire place up. I just followed the spy until it left the premises of the bay, of course, still keeping my distance to avouid suspicion.
But then, bad luck struck. The graviton cannon then fired the second time. My weapon flew up in the air again, and then I was pushed out of balance and fell hard on the floor, this time though I didn't fall unconscious.
The spy then knew I was there, it stopped inspecting the ammunitions then became invisible. My best bet was that it fled.
I immediately left the room and searched desperately for the spy, hoping that I would find the spy.
Gotcha! The spy just made a fatal mistake, it was on the lab, some gas flowed out from the canisters, I can make out the figure of the spy. From the shape I could make out a form. It was small, no legs, its hovering. Has three wings, just like an airplane, two on the sides and one of top. It has a rotor to propel itself. I did not stand around to be fascinated, I took out my EMP pistol and shot it.
The creature fell and now it's not invisible anymore. I immediately spoke on the radio,
"I got the spy, its just outside the lab"
"Good job lieutenant", the general said, "We'll come over there now. Resume patrol everybody else"
Without a word we all left the HQ and back to our position, I again looked through my scope. Now the ships were no more. Just debris in the sky. It was over. The armada was defeated withing two shots of our cannon.
Everyone was happy, but made no effort to celebrate and just resumed patrol.
***Chapter 10: Assimilator Lair***
An hour before the attack was launched by the assimilator armada,
The leader was sitting in his chair, for hours now it had scanned most of the Human base perimeter.
He's trying to find a weak point on where he could enter his troops for the next attack. Everytime he has a hunch on a sweet spot, it was then guarded by the troops. They were so many. To the leader's mind, he thinks that these humans aren't as foolish as he has expected.
The drone was right in front of the two scouts talking, they can't see the droid since it's cloaked.
The assimilator leader then positioned the droid inside the HQ, just right in front of the cafeteria, no one was in there, so it is safe while he takes a break. It's been days now, he thought he needed a rest, but all he can do now was to take a short break. He heas a duty to fulfill.
The leader just stood up from his seat when the radio buzzed.
"Sir, we're in position", the assimilator captain said.
"Good, get ready, turn your shields to a maximum, disable your weapons system. Let's give them a taste of our new technology", the leader said
"Roger, Roger"
The leader then continued his break. He went to a room, a kitchen perhaps. He grabbed some dead meat, went back to his seat, then began eating.
Moments later the radio then buzzed again.
"Emergency, emergency. The humans have developed a weapon, our shields couldn't take the hit"
The leader dropped the meat he was eating. He was speechless, he has explored every inch of the HQ, he found nothing harmless.
"Can you still land on the planet?", the leader asked.
"Negative sir, another shot from that weapon and we'd be fried", the captain replied.
"Hold your positions, I'll find the source"
The leader then controlled the droid and desperately searched all the rooms in the HQ. The dining hall then the underground shell where the president was kept, then the science lab. In there he found a huge pipe. Then looked at the letters. The leader couldn't understand what the letters mean. He then grabbed a device then turned it on. He plugged it in to his monitor then marked the letters. He then grabbed the device and started encoding what the letters mean. After a few seconds, the device beeped. To the look of the leader's face, he was shocked of what he had seen.
The device translated it into their language, and the language wrote "Graviton Cannon"
The assimilator leader grabbed the radio and buzzed in to the captain of the armada.
"Retreat now!"
"Roget that", the captain said.
A person then came inside the lab to check on the cannon, but then he screamed. "Spy!"
The person then grabbed a pistol and tried to shoot the droid, the droid then hovered away from his surroundings and turned to find out how the person managed to identify the cloaked droid. It was through a smoke that the cannon was producing. Now though the droid is cloaked again. The person then stopped firing then rushed outside.
The leader then controlled the droid out of the science lab then rushed to the ammunitions bay.
As the droid was on it's way to the ammunitions bay, it gathered a siren. The leader then knew that they were hunting for his droid. Although the leader was smart enough to know no one would dare take a shot inside the ammunitions bay, so he thought it was the best bet to stay there.
The leader was then fascinated by what contents the ammunitions held, and so the droid took a sample then transmitted it back to the leader. But then the cannon fired again. It had no effect on the droid since it was hovering, but it heard a thud from behind. The humans have found the droid.
The radio interrupted the event and buzzed.
"Sir, our armada is taking heavy damage, more than 90% of our fleet is destroyed, we can't go back!"
But the leader ignored the distress signal then controlled the droid to the science lab to gather intelligence on the human's new weapon. After a few short minutes, out of nowhere the droid gathered a electric pulse sound, then the transmission to the assimilator leader was gone.
"Damn it!", the leader yelled. He shut off the monitor
He checked at the radio to check in at the fleet.
"Captain, come in"
But there was no buzz back.
"Captain, come in"
Again there was no response.
The fury the leader felt was extreme, but he managed to cool it off.
He then turned his monitor on. It was the face of one of the assimilators.
"Ready the assembly. I have a plan to destroy that new toy of theirs, oh and prepare my fleet. Once the weapon is destroyed, I'll finish the human existence myself"
Then, even as the assimilator on the other end is about to reply, the leader then turned off the monitor.
He looked at the reflection then smiled grimacingly.
***Chapter 11: A Big Celebration***
In just two shots of the graviton cannon, the battle ended. Everyone was in awe at the new weapon the scientists have developed.
To me, these scientists have saved us a lot of fighting and dying through that cannon. I, including the rest of the battalion is infinitely grateful.
Every soldier, including the general and even the president himself was shouting for joy.
So did the rest of the troops inside and outside the HQ.
It's like our voices can be heard from space.
The general then broke our shouting and yelling then gathered all the troops. He then requested a microphone, which in a brief moment was given to him.
Everyone fell silent.
"Tonight, we party hard!", the general shouted joyfully.
Everyone then resumed their screaming and running about the HQ premises.
Out of all the different faces I've seen the captain out in his bed. It was a delight to see.
I then ran to our captain. I was thinking of hugging him, but he was still my superior and just managed to shake his hand.
"What did I miss?", the captain asked jokingly.
"You missed a hell lot of things", I replied. The happiness still crept out of my voice.
"Yeah, well. I'm better now. I heard there is a party tonight. Wanna get drunk?"
"Would I?"
Moments later, Tang joined us.
"Hey there lazy ***", Tang said. The chinese accent now strong from his tone.
"Hey! Tang! How's your lieutenant treating you so far?"
"Good. He gave me no orders", Then the captain laughed
The captain then turned to me.
"No orders? You are used to being a private aren't you?"
"Apparently, I'm new to the commands thing. I feel shy about giving orders", I replied.
"Oh yeah? Well then. I'll start. Tonight, I want you to party hard. That is an order", all of us laughed.
Then the three of us broke up, the joined the rest of the troops to scream for joy.
To me, screaming wasn't enough to let out all the joy. I wanted to swear in front of an assimilators face. But, we're still soldiers. And, after all, we've been trained in the right conduct and given good values.
All of the troops then went inside then carried the scientists outside to party.
I knew they wanted to party, but. The soldiers are carrying the scientists. Probably like in a concert where the singer jumps in the crowd and the crowd catches him/her, then passing him around.
These scientists were superstars.
After about twenty minutes or so of carrying the scientists, they were tired and put them down.
The scientists were at first silent, but then seconds later, began shouting of their success.
That night, it was the best night of our lives. Better than when the ceasefire was announced.
There were loads of beer. Some banging sounds playing some techno music, and now, the president has issued a warrant to let the girls go out and party.
That was a rare occasion since women were only allowed outside if there was no more war. This was an exemption.
Basically, the women were kept underground the HQ. It is also heavily guarded by the higher ups in the soldier system. Probably like colonels and other lesser generals.
We weren't allowed to see them, until now.
This was definetely a night of our lives. For the first time in years, we are able to hang out again with the opposite sex. It feels awkward for me since, I've not seen another female in years. But, I just let my feelings out and joined the party.
To my memory, I think I've drank about seven bottles of beer.
I was drunk, but still able to control myself from doing stupid things that would degrade me from my current rank.
Late in the party, I was now so tired and sat on a stump. I can see Tang now with his traditional chinese suit. Celebrating their tradition, along with other chinese troops and some women.
On the farther side of the HQ, I can see the captain, still hanging out with the ladies. A typical chick magnet.
I can admit it though, he has a macho figure and is very strong. Who wouldn't fall for that?
Another three hours, we noticed we partied all night. Now it's morning, 5 AM, no one had some sleep so, the general decided to send out some patrol robots.
That too is a rare event since patrol robots are too precious that the general doesn't send them out anymore. But this was an exemption. I assume the general too is drunk.
Anyways, it still gives me comfort since the patrol robots would immediately send alarm to the HQ if it sees anything. Everyone would then be woken up. And as a defensive system, it is equipped with a small EMP cannon. It even recharges itself. It was one of our greatest defensive scouting invention and we only had six of them.
Anyways, I'm too tired to be observing everything in my surroundings, so I headed back on my tent then slept. I immediately fell asleep just as I touched my pillows.
Also one of the best sleeps I've had in years.
***Chapter 12: Back to the same routine***
Everyone woke up late. Even the general, he's drunk as hell last night and woke up at about 11 A.M. We took brunch and rested for a while. The diziness is still in most of us.
Eventually, we resumed our posts at three in the afternoon. Well, we only had three hours before the night shift. Another lucky day for the day shifters I guess.
By now, I can predict that the assimilators are finding ways to get rid of our new weapon.
That's why the science lab, the room where the cannon is stored, is now heavily guarded.
It is guarded by four people outside, five people inside, excluding the scientists, and four people on the roof.
It is also to the general's decision to forcefully make the liquid oxygen spill throughout the science lab. Not to make it look scary, but to detect stealthed units.
I have to agree with the idea, its genius.
At first, I wondered how the oxygen is infinite, then it was shown to us that they gather oxygen from a special tube, I have no idea what the name is, then the oxygen is then processed into a chamber that makes it liquid oxygen, and then is released throughout the science lab premises. After a while, the liquid oxygen then combines with air making then the air we breathe now. It takes about to seconds for the liquid oxygen to mix with air, therefore a constant spillage is necessary to make it permanent.
The women are now back downstairs, to the underground base.
All the men are left here again.
Moments of doing nothing, the general has called some of us to gether in the waiting room to brief us.
I don't know what the general is going to brief us with. Maybe some secret information, I don't know.
The general then came in minutes later.
"All right, now you'd be wondring why I'm briefing you when there is no one in the vicinity. Well, its nothing serious. Nothing dangerous even. Our food supplies are down. Only enough to last us for a couple more days. I want everyone called here to gather some food supplies. I will be giving you the lists of what you got to get. Pass it on. Dismissed"
The general then left leaving us with these "Grocery list" of what we're going to need. We were also given a bag to carry the goods.
After a few seconds, the list was passed on to me, I looked at the list and my eyes grew wide.
Holy. The list is many. Each and everyone of us must gather this?
All the things in the list aren't the vegetables I've seen on earth. And look at the name, it's just like they are naming a planet. There were pictures though, so we can know what to look for.
Here is a list of what we're going to gather.
Five dozen of DX331, Sorta like a pine tree, except the leaves are colored bright blue, and the cones are replaced with these things that resemble a sea urchin.
Five hundred MB101, A tiny shrub. Probably resembling the bushed that are being trimmed in the hotels. And there's a note. Don't touch the fruits and stems, grab the leaves only, the rest is poisonous, and can get you a high fever for weeks lasting.
Twenty-four pieces of IV592, The watermelon of Siegretron, except that this watermelon is four times bigger than the original watermelon, and the design is intricate, no two fruits of this kind is the same.
Ninety FR221, I don't know if this is a fruit or a trunk, but it just looks life scat. Brown. And this also comes with a danger sign. Danger, the fruit is guarded by some Humonoclids.
Humonoclids are a three legged creature. Gratefully, it's herbivore, but the bad news is. They get aggresive if they see someone trying to grab their FR221's. These things can spit noxious acids or charge us with their pointed horns.
Eighty-four kilograms of WX130, resembles the sand from the beach. Now why would the scientists want us to collect sand?
Apparently, they are just too many to state, the list goes on and on, the numbers we need to gather are huge. This is probably going to take us days.
At the end of the list there is a note printed which says 'Grab your gears outside, strap your transmittors so we know where you are if you signal us that our lost. We will be checking in on you every hour. You will hear three beeping sounds on your transmittor. Beep back for us to know that your okay. If you don't beep back, that would mean that your in danger. A rescue team would come and get you. If you've completed your list, beep five times, and someone will pick you up. You shall not return to base unless you've completed your list. Food packs are stored in your bag, along with water and extra ammo. Flashlights are located just outside your bag. One last note, you cannot get farther than twenty kilometers of radius from the base, your transmittor will beep continously. Good luck!'
That was shocking. We weren't allowed to enter the HQ if were not done collecting resources. Everyone in the room fell silent for a while, but then we all just got outside, packed our gears and prepared for a long adventure.
I met up with Tang just before we went outside the HQ walls.
"Tang, wanna team up?", I asked
"Like I have a choice", he chuckled for a short while.
The walls were then opened, the first thing we saw outside was the lush thickness of the alien rainforest. It was a splendid sight to see, although I know that these hold dangerous creatures and unknown plants.
The feeling was thrilling and scary at the same time, thats all I can explain.
Here goes nothing.
There is a narrow road that leads to who knows what. The tracks that we used when we first colonized this planet was still visible. Perhaps, it is a good place to follow the paths and look for the things that we need, although we won't get that much since the only thing we're exploring are the ones that can be seen.
So, we're gonna follow the track paths for about five minutes or so, then just dive inside the forest to find food.
The others were planning to enter the forests immediately, but just stick to the walls first, to stay safe. There were the others, the adventurous ones, they were planning to just enter the forest, and just walk nowhere and gather foor on the way.
Some people decided to use our plan, but just walk a minute or two, then enter the forest.
No matter what our plans are, collecting resources will definetely still be dangerous.
I think this was suicide, but we'd all die of starvation if no one does anything about it.
I just hope we make it out of here alive.

Re: Siegretron - The First Assault
#7Very interesting, looking forward to reading the rest.
Now going by Soe in-game, would update it here if possible.
Re: Siegretron - The First Assault
#8A very good read indeed...what age group do you intend to market this too? If you do plan o selling it to an older audiance may i suggest you change some phrases in the book...if im correct this is of the action/sci fi genre ...i would remove phrase like "about time you woke up sleepy head" and replace them with something more entertain and maybe even a bit insulting...like "about time your bum a** got up" or even "About time you stopped lounging around all day" something along those lines i think it would add some character and even in some cases some much need comical relief...otherwise its great and when you find a publisher...you know ill be getting myself a copy of this...
Re: Siegretron - The First Assault
#9I'll keep that in mind.
