ikyan [IB] vs New [HELL] TD 1.564.396.650

#1
Where to start, where to start. About 6 weeks ago I had probed one of New's moons and saw a nice sized fleet on there to my surprise (at the time). Well naturally he knew that there would normally be some kind of a MD sequence coming up, so I did the exact opposite! No moon destructs, although I went to launch one and recall at a time that I believed he would be online about a month ago. From there (now about 4 weeks ago) I placed a roamer beside his largest moon. Since he would be worried about MDs, he would have known that I would not take on a 9.78k to go after his fleet! I let a JG get queued (which I had to cancel three times because of different VMs due to RL). Well yesterday I had tried a blind launch at him and it was dodged (yet again). Today I had been watching his timers intending only for future references. Usually New had dodged most but not all updates by moving his fleet to return just a minute or two after updates, which would give him more time to get back without undue attention from fleeters, excellent move!

Today his timer indicated such had happened, so I sent a shot over at him to keep tabs on how much deut was where. But to my surprise his fleet was down at 10 minutes before update where he would have had sent off around 30 minutes before that update always! Well I knew I had little time, so I sent a deploy with deuterium over for later in case, but did not think it would arrive in time. While it was 20 minutes away I got antsy, underkilled and used a ruby that I received for referencing a speed player into joining X (last night) and converted the crystal resources on my planet there to deuterium. Hmm, still too little to overkill as I had intended on sending 180k BC to be more then safe. Well I could only afford 100k at a slower 6 minute launch having no deuterium for recyclers. I took that option. When my BCs had returned with the deut I needed I sent follow-ups and my recyclers out.

The attacker has won the battle !
You receive 25000000 units of Metal, 8425683 units of Crystal and 22378146 units of Deuterium.

The defender has lost a total of 1.564.396.650 units.
A debris field containing 566.602.740 units of Metal and 372.035.250 units of Crystal has formed in orbit around the planet.
The probability of creating a moon is : 19 %

About 4 minutes after the hit, New was back and got a couple mil of the df. Good thing I chose not to wait for that deploy mission!

You collect; 565.172.740 units of Metal and 370.614.250 units of Crystal.

Total profit is around 1.2bil with a 40 million deuterium gain

Have been speaking with New after the hit, and I must say HUGE glotr, sometimes RL holds you back just for minutes, and that is all that is needed on occasions. Had a fun cat and mouse bro, and am looking forward to having fun again after the "new" fleet that emerges as I am sure you will be back bigger and stronger.
