Fleet Travel times

#1
Hi,

Ive been sending my fleet on raid mission, and the same fleet would take longer to travel to a system more than 40 from my home planet, then to send to the next galaxy up or down. Does anyone know how this fleet travel time works, cause it seems a bit random sometimes.

:wall:

Cheers

The distance between one galaxy and it's neighbour is equal to 180 systems. A raid from 1:1 to 1:190 will take longer than a raid to ANY system in Galaxy 2.

Think of Galaxies like slates stacked on top of one another rather than side by side.

When people ask me plz because it's shorter than please, i feel inclined to respond no because it's shorter than yes...

Yep, part of what makes cross galaxy raiding so efficient if you have drained your immediate area.

Here's a crude but accurate image I posted on the old ACE forums a while ago. Helps to visualise the layout.

The above diagram puts it into perspective nicely, Thanks again Istalris, Most useful,
and cheers for your input too kick.

BTW
The standard universe only has 250 systems each galaxy, i usually hear their being 499 system, so im assuming thats
for the extreme or speed universe?
