I think at some point, this no longer exists. As your gun approaches infinitely big, knowledge required to use it effectively goes to zero. I smell a math equation in there somewhere

In the beginning, there was a guy and a big gun. The guy attempted to use the big gun, failed, and caused everything else to come into being. And ever since, there has been that guy, both individual and reincarnated, watching over us and trying to learn how to use the big gun.
