When people ask me plz because it's shorter than please, i feel inclined to respond no because it's shorter than yes...
Re: The Great Debate topic.
#46Chrome OS
But in all seriousness Windows. Macs are like Starbucks in the fact that they make me feel like a pretentious snob.

#47Have you tried Chrome OS? I saw a preview of it and it looks fairly disappointing if I'm honest. Fantastic for online experience, but looks a bit lacking on the offline side, combine that with the fact it's OEM, I think I'll stick with Windows.

Re: The Great Debate topic.
#48Well, Chrome OS is built for one purpose: to deliver you the internet and some basic functionality as a word processor, picture viewer, etc. If that's all you want, then combined with the fact that it's designed to be very easy on the battery, it's perfect for a small laptop.
If you want to do ANYTHING else, don't do ChromeOS.
For a simple, intuitive interface with great ( if limited in number) tools for more advanced applications lie photo/video editing, go for a mac. The higher price point is balanced against better performance, better quality, and a more stable system.
If you're looking for a deeper, more customizable experience with greater support for applications, you want a windows machine. They're cheaper, still have the highly user friendly interface, and give the user more freedom to do what they want without requiring extensive knowledge of computers.
If you know computers, you might want linux. Though it requires more knowledge and effort to set up, and has much less support, it delivers the ultimate in customization. That, and it's free.
Or, that's how I understand the situation.
