Is it allowed to let your alliance attack you and take your resources?
I think friendly fire should not be allowed if there no clear benefit to the player being attacked.
Re: Friendly Fire
#2Lol, obviously not? Unless your alliance is a twisted cult. Wait, it won't even be called an ALLIANCE if that is the case.

Re: Friendly Fire
#3Well I think it is allowed to trade moonshots.
But I think this one is different. The defender is intentionally allowing a specific member of his alliance to attack his defenseless planet and take the resources.
I think that should be considered as pulling.
It's still just a suspicion. I'll be on my phalanx watching their every move.
And that is not my alliance mind you.
Edit: It should be pushing. The attacker is higher in rank than the defender.

Re: Friendly Fire
#4i disagree, if an alliance has its members attack each other then thats their deal. Someone is losing resources one way or another. But if you want to take alliance members resources then why have an alliance? then you could just attack and raid them as much as you want...

Re: Friendly Fire
#5alliance is about trust... i could make an alliance and recruit all newbs and then wait as they start going inactive and just farm them! not to mention that i can give them some interesting instructions on how to play.
You can't stop me I'm on a boat!
Re: Friendly Fire
#66. You must not MILK
Milking is a form of cheating. No player may knowingly send resources to a higher ranking player unless it is done during a trade (in accordance with the Trade Ratios posted on the forums). Once within a 24 hour period a higher ranking player may send the equivalent of 1 hour of production to a lower ranking player (pulling).
Going around the milking rule. That is the issue here.
If you want to pull or push someone you can create a new colony, send your resources there and let the player attack it.

Re: Friendly Fire
#7oh i see what your saying neo, yea i agree with that, it is cheating. What i was reffering to was a friend attacking a friend to aggresivily gain resources. And by friend i mean alliance mate. But if anyone did that in my alliance ide kick them....so perhaps we should switch this topic to suggestions and suggest that a new rule be made against such activity?

Re: Friendly Fire
#8Can a new rule condemning that even be enforced? I doubt so...since its not banned yet maybe we should just exploit this....it's not a bug, and it's not against the rules as of now...neoshagrath wrote:6. You must not MILK

Re: Friendly Fire
#9Who knows? Maybe it is already part of the milking rule. The methods are not specified so I think all resource movement that ultimately leads to pushing or pulling beyond the specified ratios is still milking.
The key point is "No player may knowingly send resources to a higher ranking player......"

Re: Friendly Fire
#10The key word is SEND. Anyway, anyone can easily bypass any accusations with this excuse: Hey I didn't send my resource to my ally, I sent it to my new colony. But my ally attacked it without my consent or knowledge, and since my alliance allows friendly fire, it is perfectly alright.
Further more, this can be exploited by ANYONE, not just alliance members. Attacking a completey defenseless planet isn't against the rules, neither is leaving your planet undefended against the rules either.
