Death Star

#1
First question, do yous think its worth building? I still dont know what it costs to build, but im guesing a hell of a lot of resources :|

Second question, I might be overlooking something simple here but to get Graviton Technology its Resources Needed : Energy: 300.000
Is the most worth while way to do this just build lots of Solar Plants?

Thanks

Graviton is required to build a Death Star. The amount of energy needed would mean building one Hell of a lot of Solar Plants. It is much better to build Solar Satellites instead. Lots of them (around 8K+ if I remember correctly). Once the Energy level reaches the limit, Graviton is automatically granted (leaving you with a lot of useless Solar Sats).

Just a note- your Solar Sats will be a BIG target. So it's better to save your resources by fleet saving, building a few nanite factories and a crap load of defense before you even start Solar Sat production.

And Death Stars are worth building. Totally worth building.

Sorry for being a bit dumb, but what exactly is fleet saving?

Istalris, don't feel bad about asking questions! It's how ya learn to win!

Fleet saving is sending your resources away from your planet while you're not online. See my response in the "Help" forum under the topic "how do i stop from geting milked!!!".

Building solar sats this early in the game may not be a wise idea. It's a very good source for crystal and you're probably making yourself a target by doing so. Unless you have a mega-defense, someone bigger is going to take it away from you.

I'd recommend waiting a good while on going for Graviton. You need to focus on building colonies, fleet to fleet save, and some level of a good defense. Until then, someone is merely going to take every sat you build.

Ah it seems i am already fleet saving without knowing what it is then, hehe
And what you said about people destroying my solar sats for crystal, i had the same thought too.
I decided to hide my energy planet in a region where hardly any others have colonised yet, i also piled a lot of resources for defenses into it when i colonised, so im pretty happy with it right now and its worked so far
Thanks for the response also! ;)

Unfortunately, you just posted your build plan and that you situated it on a remote system. I'm not sure if you know it yet, but there are a few legal ways of locating any player's planets within just a few minutes.

Three things you never do on a forum.

1. Post coordinates.
2. Post current builds.
3. Not hide your log in status.

Crud :P Please dont hurt me
Well if it all goes wrong then ill wait anyway, im not too concerned about getting a death star just yet. Also, im curious... what are these "legal" ways of discovering the location of any planet a player has within a short time? :)
