All different kinds of missions have different colors,only for some reason outgoing attack and transport missions are the same color.This can be very confusing and it shouldn't be to hard to change some text color.
I see no potential downsides to this.

I personally like attacks being green when you do them. All these missions are undertaken by you and if you cannot keep track of them it is your own fault. Enemy missions as red, orange and yellow work fine, with acs as blue. We already have enough colours as is if you ask me.

We could create a tool that each player can choose the color they want perhaps ? And more options regarding missions overview.

I agree with the custom fleet mission colors feature, too.
