Ah, saying that variables are excuses is not pessimistic. Once again pessimism is taking every day situations and assuming they will work out badly.

saying variables are always excuses could be considered pessamistic.It all depends on your defination of pessimism.If you consider that realism okay but consider this

a couple of obvious situations using vairables productively.
calculating a variables potential vaule.In this situation the variable is not an excuse but a place holder

when deciding the risks to a bet or investment.here you can use variables to determine if you should go with a certain path of action.

with this being said I can't see how you would consider varibles always excuses unless you are atleast a little pessamistic.

When you are considering variables as place-holders, then there are odds. Usually the person with the best odds on something wins. In the end, because they play the odds, they come out ahead anyways. As a result if they have 60% chance say, and lose, they did not just get "unlucky". This is because they will still win on that same move/play/bet 60% of the time, cutting a profit.

proving my point that variables are not excuses and so If you consider them so you are looking at pessamisticly because you are focusing on the negitive.

Disagree. Saying you got unlucky, is not accepting any blame. In the end, it will work out. Not a pessimistic thought. btw, looks like we hijacked Gales thread

I used chance as an example proving varibles aren't just excuse.I did not say anything about luck and pessamism.I was only using chance as an example.

Over the long haul it all works out tho.
