The Koenfar are bipeds, with double jointed legs and arms like humans, but greatly elongated. Their legs and arms are articulated in the same fashion as humans as well, but their hands feature long quadrupel jointed fingers and two opposable thumbs and they have clawed hooves instead of feet. Their faces feature long snouts, and large eyes positioned in the same manner as a horse. The eyes are protected by a large bony ridge, with the ears protuding from behind and beneath the bone. For this reason many Koenfar warriors have ragged or clipped ears, injured in combat by blows that glance off the bone protecting the eyes, or more often the armour plates that cover it. The torso is long and thin, with bones showing through the dark skin, usually brown or dark purple.

I looked at Tal 'Ameth in alarm, as the vidscreen crackled with EM distortion and the God stumbled out of the camera shot before he could reply. The warriors behind me murmured in surprise and shock, a wave of uncertainty following in their smell. Tal 'Ameth's fingers darted across the console in front of him, knuckles and tips pressing keys nearly faster than my trained eye could follow. "A dozen gunships fire on the mountain. They possess stealth technology, but the fire from their launchers have revealed their position. I see no evidence of cloaking technology so they should be visible by sight." I turned to the screen nodding hastily by habit, though noone appeared to be watching me any longer as arguing voices came from the speakers in the bay. "To the end of showing our loyalty we will deal with the gunships immediately. We will hail you when the deed is done." Tal 'Ameth ended the transmission and I sighed with relief. This was a situation I understood. I sprinted back along the length of the ship, my blood pumping as it accelerated towards the gunships last position, their firing finished as their missiles began to curve back apon them. I smiled despite myself at the simplicity of the gods cunning. I braced myself on my command console on the bridge, my hands moving deftly as I armed weapons and the Tulim of the bridge dipped their snouts in respect as they managed the ship, and the first lances of fire spat from our forward guns as my sight was replaced by theirs.
