I understand that buying rubies supports the game...i just cant wait till when people start playing the game right and lets see how to put this....DOING THE WORK YOURSELF...and SHOWING YOUR THE BEST with out help from rubies....

I have spent money on rubies on this one and the other server. But I dont spend all my money so i can be the MOST powerful player bc I have money to waste on it. The better players in the end will come out and prove theirselfs. Because rubies cant protect you if you screw up and forget to fleet save or something like that.

just remember over time you will find out who is better at the game in the end once you stop using rubies to make your self look better....

RAWR i love this game.

As a player that has never bought rubies once (not sure if thats a good thing to say  ), I can safely say, who cares? They support the game WE ALL PLAY. If you personally think investing money is dumb, then don't pay to play, but for God's sake don't criticize someone else out of jealousy

Just 2 cents from those who receive this money:
-Around 75% of incomes goes for game advertising and server costs. The rest 25% goes to developers which is an indirect way of supporting the game again.
-According to time, these figures change. For example for the new universe advertising, the % spent so far is higher than 100%, which means we also invested an amount from our part.

Most importantly, keep in mind that the higher our income, the faster the game development is.

Lately, we have focused in the development of the game with like 80% of our workforce. During this time we:
-Repaired a handful of bugs.
-Increased the active playerbase.
-Improved the forums
-Implemented new features
-Implemented a new universe
-Invested in 2 brand new and a lot faster servers (computers).
-Got a game chat room owned by us.
-A lot of other, invisible to you, things which perhaps consumed us more time than the ones visible to you.

Right now we are finishing ACS attack (got it behind due to easter time as well), we have the new ship/tech implementation in Xtreme.
Add to this the daily support and administering time and you get an idea of our reality.

As for rubies use itself, I think it has been already proven in Xtreme that the biggest buyer is not #1. I personally hope that someday there will be someone who will get to #1 and stay there solely by rubies; When this happens, we will simply go through all the suggestions list and make it happen. Otherwise, you can simple get more people to use rubies. Really, if anyone would spend like 20 rubies at least per week, we would be able to hire one more programmer who would only bother by writing the scripts of your suggestions.

Finally, as always, do not forget the forum mods who do a lot of work and earn nothing. The least we can do is credit them, the least you can do is to acknolwedge their contribution.

You are not even the biggest buyer. Anyhow, I'll lock this thread as it has grown way out of topic. Anyone, feel free to create new ones with your concerns.
