I think your equations are off Zorg. You have transposed the storage level and the modifier. I can't afford to test on standard server, but as for extreme, base storage is 1m.

The formula for storage capacity would then be 1,000,000*1.5^storage_level
storage level 0 = 1m storage
storage level 1 = 1.5m
storage level 2 = 2.25m

Assuming that the transposition error follows through in standard, then the correct formula would be 50,000*1.6^storage_level
storage level 0 = 50k
storage level 1 = 80k
storage level 2 = 128k

As you have written the formula, with storage level of 0, you would have 0 storage.

LOL server may be new but the trash talk is the same.Kind of reminds me of the same remarks once used by Spankie and Witchywomen.

Anyhow if the moon was purchased on mother planet it was a smart move as if there is 1 planet you want a monster it is over a planet you will never be able to get rid of and since there is no more 100% chance to destroy a moon and as Shandris commented on..at the crawl this server is set up for we are talking november easy before a 9.5k+ moon can be even attempted at.Now factor in even at Hyperspace 13 or 14 engine it will take your Rips 3 hours just to get to a moon and thats if you are in same system gives a person plenty of time to defend.....but that is tons down the road.

Where is a moon Now comes into play is Phalanx which is gonna be the Best chance to get people early on...he who sees the future rules the world so to speak.

As far as ruby buying..if noone did it than there would be no game..from common knowledge zorg has to prolly pay just @ $80 per server to keep system operational. That does not include the derve team so already he is 240 in the hole at start of every month before dishing out cash to keep them happy..side job or not they still want money for their time. And all of it is based on the good will of others to make donations to help support the game and allow others the benefit of playing without pay..how this all ties into if someone is a good player or not still has me scratching my head from the last time you 2 tossed it out there.

And there is no need to be nieve about people paying to play games online ..15+ million people pay 15.99 a month per account to play World of Warcraft and that is just 1 of dozens of MMORPG's out there. If a person has the means and enjoys the game a $8 a month donation is nothing and helps ensure the game will last.Hell i prolly payed for this new server  wonder where my kickback is!

Any nonzero number to the power of zero is 1.

Erm, Zorg, this is true. I already knew the part about the base storage in Xtreme being 1 million, but I tested out the storage bases, since I really never paid attention to how much each level gave you, and I just built more storage when it was displayed in red at the top. Level 1 is 1.5 million and level 2 is 2.25 million. So Shaftoe was right.

Thank you captain obvious. I am sure you also learned in fifth grade that zero to any power is zero. This is why Zorg's equation can't possibly be correct.

yeah, shaftoe you are right, it cannot be storage level^1.6 it should be 1.6^storage level.

Ouch... Harsh...

And actually, don't you start multiplication in 2nd grade? Actually, I don't know about you, but I know I did. I remember doing a fricken 100 questions in 3 minutes on one of those tests.... I mean, you were supposed to do it in three minutes, I don't remember how many of us actually did, but...

Anyway, back on topic...

Zero * Zero = Zero^Zero = Zero + Zero = Zero - Zero = 0

Zero is ZERO, for God's sake, people. Let's move on...
