Re: ACS Attack - Info Needed

so each fleet will show up on defender overview as individual attacks? well, if they are all arriving at the same time it doesnt take a genius to figure out what is happening.. but i still think it would be nicer and more convenient to have an actual acs attack alert that says it is an acs instead of normal attack, fleets could still be displayed individually but say acs attack instead of attack..

its good that you can invite anyone, limit should be something sensible like 5 or 6 i think

i like how you settled the timing and grouping times for the fleets!
thanks for the awesome sig surrias <3

I do think you should be able to ACS Attackwith unlimited numbers just as you can can with ACS defend.
I also think that you shouldnt need to invite alliance members, only those outside the alliance should need to be sent an invite. What I think it should be is Player A launches an ACS attack. A then sends a circ asking for help, and the details of the attack. Player B decides to join and goes to fleets, selects his ships, and hits continue. Then on the destination page he sees Player A's ACS attack in the ACS attack section. He then clicks on this to add his fleet to the attack, and sets his speed.
I also think mouseovering an ACS attack should show you the names of the players who have joined the attack, possibly their fleets too?
On the WSA, I think it should be each individual player's ships recieve that player's WSA, although it would clutter up the report if you had say 6 attackers, each with 7 types of ship, each under different categories...

I've thought long and hard for this ACS attack and now. I'm willing to say what I've thought. (Or at least that's the case)
Ok. Here goes nothing
The same rule applies. All players in the alliance will have an invite for ACS attacks.
But, only those players online will receive that message.
Once the player agrees, Then goes the ACS attack, However, There will be a time period of 30 minutes.
If the player does not respond, the ACS attack will cancel (BTW alliances and friends can ACS attack)
Now for the ACS attack.
Once a fleet launches, the fleet speed will be equal to the slowest engine speed of the player which has the lowest level of an engine.
To be simple, The fleet speed = lowest lvl of engine.
To be more simple:
If player A has 1 BS with a speed of 50,000 and player B has a speed of 30,000, then both player A and Player B have the fleet speed of 30,000 (I assume you get that by now)
Another catch.
What if player A & B is on different galaxies?
If player A is on g8, player B is on g7 and the target is on g7, The time of the fleet arrival is equal to the player farthest to the target.
To be more simple:
Fleet Arrival = farthest player.(which is player A)
Now for the battle:
When both or all fleets arrived at the battle scene the fleet merges.

Continuation of Post:
Where was I.... Ok.
When all fleets arrive at the location the fleet merges into one and battles the target
Example:
Player A Player B
Fleet: 1 Battleship Fleet: 1 Battleship
Defender A
Fleet: 1 Cruiser
Player A Player B
Fleet: 1 Battleship Fleet: 1 Battleship
Defender A
Destroyed.

Got the scene? Or you could have it separately:
Player A
Fleet: 1 Battleship
Defender A
Fleet: 10 Light Fighter
Player B
Fleet: 1 Battleship
Defender A
Fleet: 2 Light Fighter

Got it? Now in situation 1 the damage is divided. In situation 2 the damage is separate.
Now for the winnings.
In normal, if the defender has 1 mill metal, the attacker gets 500k metal
In ACS attack if the defender has 1 mill metal, Player A will get 250k metal and player B will get 250k metal. Simpe.
Unless the player is short in storages, the player with spare storages gets some from player B's excess.
DF....well..... Still the same. First come first serve.
Return time:
Return time is still the same....
Now.... Got it?
Almost forgot!!!
The message... Here it is:
Player <Player Name> is requesting to join forces to ACS attack <player name and coordinates>
<click here to engage attack>

Well there you go!!! :D
Thanks for reading and.... I hope either my ideas could be put to use :)

when you set the ACS attack you could chose who to send the request to (player or alliance), ths can then be forwarded on to other people - the ACS attack should have i limit on players taking part.
I think the bashing rule should be fixed for this mode though as the attacker already has a huge advantage.

the advantage of this would be:
You could attack with your mates.
Smaller alliances could join up to attack a larger alliance.
you could keep the attack a secret until launch - if the requests goes out to large alliance you never know were it may end.

i dono but they may be plausible suggestions
