i want to set up a planet mainly for the trade of goods, were would be a good galexy to plac it in ? just so its easy for people to transport stuf too with out it taking too long? and.... if there are set rates for trading, how can you make and profit or barter with people to lower or raise there prices, i know there ther so you don't sell 1 metal for 100000 duet but should be alitle bit of range of prices

Having one planet designated for trading and then advertising it to the Universe may paint one heck of a big target on it. You'd be probed constantly and raided as soon as resources showed up.

I suggest that you think about a large cargo fleet for trading and spreading that fleet over several planets so that you reduce losses should a fleet get hit.
