can somebody explain whatit is?

Hold time is the amount of time your fleet will spend at the target location.

What is the purpose of Hold time? can someone give me an example for its use?

Examples:

In an expedition the amount of Hold Time you select will dictate the amount of time the fleet you send will explore for.

In an ACS defend mission the Hold Time you select will be how long your fleet spends defending your target.

How about hold time on attacks?
If I sent 2 attacks to a single planet, first fleet is 20 BS, second fleet is 20 cargo ships. They will arrive at the planet at 10 sec difference. The first attack has a hold time of 32 sec. Would my second fleet be protected?

I have no idea, interesting idea though.

I just tried it. It doesn't work I think.

My first fleet destroyed all the defenses. When my second fleet arrived the defenses are already repaired. It ended in a tie.
