gumpy made a really good point, if you're a fleeter then LC should be the answer to which you should build. If you're a miner or a farmer (attacking mostly inactive players in great numbers daily) then SC are the answer i think.

I completely disagree. For mining, raiding and farming the LC is the best solution. The fuel economy to cargo ratio makes the most sense for all those groups. Also, until you get your techs up to a decent level the large cargo is faster.

The only use I would find for the small cargos are for higher level traders and fleeters who need to get resources to a location in a hurry. At higher levels, the small cargo becomes faster. Outside of that, the SC is useless in my opinion.

Agreed Khan....my point on the fleeter was not to mean that SC was good for the other operations..the examples i gave was same galaxy ...now toss in cross galaxy transfers and that Deut to time loss ratio explodes even higher...in this case actually only a fleeter would/should consider this as an option only cause in terms of making a hit those second/minutes could make the difference in a hit or miss..and only to transfer deut not to include in a battle!

And yeah, Khan, I'm pretty sure your math is correct. It seems the game hates to follow the equations correctly, lol.

If you're a miner but you raid inactives with cargos only, you're on the computer over long periods of time which makes you spy a lot of inactives and raid as soon as the last wave comes home, then SC are better. If you add the couple minutes it's faster at the end of the day you may raid one or twice more. The deut is a lot more, but still i haven't raided a single inactive which hasn't paid the trip with an extra. And every "full raid" adds to 4+ M Metal, 2M+ Crystal and around 600K+ Deut (on average), 2 more raids mean a lot to players with few points.

At my level I can't always see the defence of a planet so I sometimes send in a single SC to test the waters instead of getting my entire "fleet" dusted......... again.

if you cant see the defense you can send more probes
