I was wondering if anyone out there playing might wanna make up an individual alliance. not a true ALLIANCE. but a bunch of people with personal NAPs. mix things up a bit. mainly my thinking is then you might have an alliance with somone but that doesn't mean somone in your alliance can't attack somone in the other persons alliance. not that it really would matter. theres THAT and then people without an alliance won't have to join to gain the protection of the alliance. maybe if they wanna keep their options open and all.

Re: Individual Alliances
#2Im sure there are personal Alliances already out there. You hear all the time about people knowing other people and so forth. Im guessing this is already going on.
Or have i misread you?

Re: Individual Alliances
#7If you are still in Player Protection (ie: below 10k points) you very rarely get attacked in this time as the only ones that can attack you are in the player protection also. Which means they are just as busy as you are trying to build up before they get "pushed out of the nest" to become prey to the other players ....Gojin wrote::/ maybe im just wierd but i have only been attacked ONCE since i started and it was an ACCIDENTAL attack XD.
Just when you thought your were in control... I proved you wrong!
Re: Individual Alliances
#8Some people get attacked everyday. The best skill you can learn in this game is how not to be attacked. You need to make sure you are not a profitable hit. People will hit any fleet/res that you leave sitting while you are offline. If you keep your fleet and res in the air (Fleetsaving) while you are offline, nobody will hit it. As your fleet grows, you need to learn new ways of fleetsaving because people can watch fleet movements to/from your planet.
As for personal alliances, lots of them exist in this game. You just need to strike up a conversation with someone and befriend them.

#9I personally think Diplomacy can be a critical aspect of the game and one ignored at your peril. Sharing information about attackers, tips and tricks and targets is one of the major reasons I was able to get by in the game. For a long time I was riding solo. It made all the difference in the world. Having a tag next to your name can mean nothing.
