I may be missing the point...But how would a ruby moon help the defender in the aforementioned situation.. The fleet was down.. moon size is irrelevant. being able to purchase a moon has always been an advantage for a quick attack, from the getgo. No matter what size a moon is you have to be online for your fleet return.
I personally do not advocate ruby moons being unpoppable as they are..totally spoiled the game when this was introduced. imo.
