I have been playing a couple of games and what they have in common is releasing events during the year. The most recent one that I had some fun with with a different game I am playing was the halloween event. Haven't seen any chatter about events over here, so I wanted to share my oppinion.
One of the games I am playing has developed some micro events as they call them. I know taking the time and resources to develop a really good event is a big project, but those micro events might come in handy. What they do is alter the code just a bit to boost some game stats. Here are some examples of what can be boosted for couple of days or even a week:
-Resource production from mines
-Faster building construction time
-Faster research times
-Faster ship/defence build time
+1 expedition slot (that is really Reloaded heavy suggestion since as far as I know the voyagers are only available there)
+1-2 fleet slots
-Double speed transport missions (meaning half the time is gonna be needed to transport your resources. This can be a bit tricky, since the times I am suggesting to be shorter should include only transport missions, not the game in general)
-Deu cost discount on fleet launch
Those are just a couple of things that I could think of spot on. I am sure there could be more added to the list. Let me know what you think or if you would like to see some more stuff as events.
