i would say though should there be a next time that you put a cap on imperial support to one or two a day
Time limits or even usage limits are not really helpful based on previous experiences in Massacre and X-TREME.
If we want to be sincere with each other, there always will be players that might overuse rubies. These players are not necessarily bad players though. Look at their battle stats, of all top players. They are not that bad. Look at their activity, it is great.
You also need to factor in past experience. It is not the first time that someone might spend more than expected or tell that he spends more than expected. In SPEED for example, there might have been some big spenders once it started. If you look the health status of SPEED right now, who can say that rubies affected it at all?
You also cannot offer something that costs real money without nothing in return. There needs to offer an advantage. There are kind of players that with the restrictions might not play at all. There are players that want to run with a fleet from day 1 and joining late for example will not work for them, if there are restrictions. You need these players though. Not only for the financial benefits but mostly for the competitive nature of the game. The more good players, the better for all.
There is also activity into the mix. A skillful and very active player can be countered by a skillful players, not so active that uses however rubies. So rubies are not only skill balancers but also activity balancers. Especially Imperial Bonds; that's what they do.
Since Imperial Bonds are very volatile, you cannot really know what each player gets for the same amount of credits. So, when you see an offer for you, someone else might get worse than this. Especially if he ranks better than you.
Having all data at hand, I am pretty sure that you need to support RELOADED. We are speaking of a very good universe that already has all it takes to get to a big long run. The activity is stable but we are starting -FINALLY- to see NEW players into the mix.
This is our profit as a game; we do not really make anything right now. It is a bet we need to win by bringing some several thousands of new players into the game. Some of them will stick and you will all eventually be rewarded with a more competitive environment.
