Or.

1: A new player doesn't know the rules.

2: He/she learns the rules.

3: The rules are the rules, a player breaks the rules, they are punished.

What happens in other games, is irrelevant. We are talking about this game. However, to add to this irrelevant point, I do play other games. The rules are there. A player seeks to break or exploit these rules and they get caught, they are punished. No arguments.

Everybody plays the game, it is a level playing field. Regardless of player size, experience, time in the game or whether they are having pizza on Friday night.

There may well be an accidental breach of any rules, a mishap. These can be taken in to consideration. If it can be proved that somebody has gone out of their way to intentionally break the rules for their own or another's benefit, then they get sanctioned for this. It's a lot fairer.

As a non player of that server I cannot give a measured response. I will add however, that because of this new player protection, the number of new players actually seeming to stay in the game has increased because of this rule. Also, it was massive jump. Previously 10k point protection, then 1 million, lol.

I had argued, prior to this for a rise. This was quite an increase. I would say it is working.

A level playing field for everyone is all that us, the fair players, have ever asked for......to bend/manipulate rules is still breaking rules......and that is the unfair part.......going out of ones way for personal gain by exploiting rules.....yet again it is still breaking a rule.....a rule is a rule for a reason....not a challenge!!!!

as for Zorgs reply to my previous post about Player A had been treated differently to a Player (?) from a few years ago "Which is this other issue you speak of?" I cannot name the player but suffice to say again that the incident I am referring to is exactly the same as one that has happened very recently......but with different results.....So Zorg feel free to private pm myself and I will state who it was rather than name and shame here.....although I know it will make no difference whatsoever. FTR EVERYONE I have spoken to from various alliances have been opposed to the decision given on recent events for reasons I cannot give here.

I have no answer right now. Maybe we will discuss it with the players first. Although, any such change is not imminent.

If you can, send me the case in PM so I can search it up and I will reply here.

Just been told that it will change nothing on current case ....all because of a "3rd party" .......who no-one knows about but was still instigated by Player A......not even a grey area.....just an exploited loophole in everyones eyes....one player was treated one way, a different player another way. Everyone knows why......most won't say. So we either put up or we shut up and let Player A play his way. Personally I would sooner have respect for building two decent accounts myself without glitches/loopholes/grey areas.....yes I have had a gifted fleet or two....but least I didn't pay for them.....nor have I ever needed a 3rd party excuse as a "get out of jail" card.....I suggest "3rd parties" shouldn't be considered in any decision to do with rules....they are either broken or not......and too easy a card to play everytime someone thinks to deviate from normal game play.

I totally agree regardless of a 3rd party or not... does not change the facts this in my opinion can be only be classed as milking and has always been seen as against the rules... More to the point is it appears that Players can now buy their way to a top account without any real skill or effort other than a large wallet...a real shame from the games original concept...

Just a shame that all the players who have expressed their disappointment at the decision haven't stepped up to the plate and posted in forums....not that it will change a thing.....Feel sorry for those who do not buy rubies as game is more about payers than players.

Sprog, you have not send me in a PM the case where you accused us above for double standards.
Please send this PM to me or withdraw your accusation.

Somehow, in your "fair play book" the following happens:
-It is perfectly FAIR to receive a fleet from ANY retiring player.
-It is UNFAIR for you if this retiring player decides to retire his fleet to some player because he has received something in return (ie, rubies to another universe, a date under the stars or a bicycle).
-It is BLATANT CHEATING for you if someone does the above but instead of using the seller to crash the fleet he uses another player to do it.

Well, in OUR book, these are ALL the same thing. And they are the same thing for two reasons:
-The end up result is the same: One player gets fleet debris and the other is deleted.
-We cannot know which exactly is the background deal at 95% of the cases so we prefer to have a rule for 100% of them, instead of having a rule for the 5% we end up detecting.

If you still cannot get it then again; "We cannot smell our fingers every time" this is an open area for anyone to do as he likes, without administration interference. In the end, we will ban the gifting account and move on.

As we have already said, this is merely respect of YOUR rules:
