Allow option changes while in v-mode

#1
Currently players cannot change their email address, username, settings for emails received notifying them of PMs, or any other options settings while in v-mode. I'm sure this must have been brought up before at some point in the past, but it would be really nice if it were possible to make these changes without exiting v-mode.

V mode removed??? Bad idea! I can understand why Pulsar has suggested this, but the reply I find quite alarming. I am one of the most active players there is (in my server). However because of conditions beyond my control I cannot always get online as I use a mobile limited data usage wifi modem as there is, for the time being no way I can get normal broadband installed.

Other players, one yesterday mentioned the sad fact that he had eye cancer. He seems very active but there must be times when because of his condition he cannot play. What about holidays and vacations? Remove it?? Shortsighted to say the least.

I know it wasn't stated that it would be something that was got rid of, but, just the statement of the fact that thought is there, as I said, alarming.

Uhhh... What? Remove v-mode?? Why? Forgive my shock, but I also find this response very concerning. Everyone occasionally needs a break from the game due to real life or in-game issues or playing multiple servers... v-mode is a very important option to have available to players so they can protect what they have built when they need a break from the game.

Another thing I find inconsistent: if you wish to remove v-mode please explain the automatic v-modes that occurr after a set period of inactivity in Xtreme... Those make little sense, as at that point there is nothing on the account left to protect. However, players like myself with good sized fleets have ALOT to lose and depend on having the option to v-mode, even if we don't use it. Furthermore, I have small accounts in v-mode in other universes that I may someday return to activity... Without the option to v-mode, I would be far less likely to start playing them again.

My suggestion is meant to allow people who aren't in a position where they can return an account to activity the same abilities to control their email alerts and other options that other players have... To me this just makes sense, and I never understood why v-mode players were unable to do so.

removing v-mode is not going to boost activity for many people, and it will quite possibly scare away anyone who could be returning, who knows that their activity will not be consistent all the time.

^ +1 to pulsar's first post.
RL has been a b****. maybe for once I can stay around long enough to make a name for myself...

+1 also to Pulsar's first post.

Were v-mode not an option, I would not now be within the game - and I would not be spending money on rubies in the game.

It is precisely because v-mode was and is an option that I could - and did - employ when sorely needed that I have been able to return to activity in this game.

I will use this reply to reply:

This is not a discussion about vmode termination. This is a discussion about V-MODE imporvement.

So, VMODE will not be improved. V-MODE should act like a freezer. IMHO, vmode should have 1 option available: Exit V-MODE

This has been thoroughly discussed elsewhere, If I remember correctly.
You must remain certain that the biggest reason in forcing these vmodes is to pro-actively fight cheating attempts.
