I think that says it all ha ha XD
Seriously:3
A little extreme, but if lets say Hillary went off and said she supported what Hitler did(of course not) then goes around and say lol jk tricked you all. I highly doubt she would win any election ever. So in your small case, your going around making things up then trying to defend your innocence even though its not so much under attack except in your eyes. You don't make a good case for yourself.

You post. You invite comments. It seems you do not like the comments. You have had several posters giving you a reply that you seem not to like. The consensus seems to be that the original topic which is being strayed from is that this is against the spirit of the game, that this is not a thing to be done. After inviting these comments, not really getting the comments that you seem to require to justify your stance, there are now arguments arising. You have received these comments. It is up to you to either do one of two things. You either act on them or you do not act on them. It seems that you posted this in the first instance to see how you stood in this matter. You have now had enough to decide on which way you now go. Which ever way you decide, I would keep that to yourself, unless of course you want to invite more comment which you do not seem to agree with. Is this topic now closed?

The problem that exists with this account sharing is that it is unfair. The whole point of this game is that it is interactive with other "real" players, not like other games where you play against an AI. That is the beauty of it. It is real time. What comes with that is a number of great things, interaction with real life people, the real time elements unlike other turn based games.

For two or more players to share an account effectively destroys this. You can't know when you pm someone who will actually be reading that message. Players have their own mannerisms. They have their own style of play etc. When an account is shared this goes out of the window. The real time element also goes. Players cannot physically play 24/7. Effectively by sharing an account you are creating a "terminator"! Non sleeping, always active. This gives that account an advantage and other players a dis-advantage. This shouldn't be the case. Folk annoy each other, flaming begins. Comments made in the heat of the moment. Unfortunate yes, also not very nice. But on the upside of that is that it is real. You do not get that with AI. By sharing that account, this also goes.

Anyone recall the Jim incident?
There was 2 people playing on that account, one of the guys was pretty nice, the other was not.
It got quite confusing knowing who I was talking too :/
Even with 2 players on it, how well the account did... meh, caught a few fleets, 12 or so mill points in-total, but it still got crashed even with 2 people looking after it.

Theres a forum post somewhere where jim admitted to it during his retirement crash.

As a matter of speaking ... once someone has announced that he will go permanent v+ mode(once his def queene is completed), who is allowed to farm him? If it is not ok for his allies to farm him, is it ok for non-ally players to farm him? Because that is what happened and only the Ally was set back in score ... does this sound fair? In this exact case, the player is friend with everyone in the alliance and didn't want to quit it, so he can keep in touch ... what would be the fair thing to happen?

You are going off topic again, please start a new topic if this is what you want to discuss please.

But, your question asks is it okay to farm them? If he/she has gone to v mode, then you wouldn't be able to farm them.

There is nothing wrong with somebody going in to v mode, then staying in touch if that account is being used as a tool for communication. If that account was inactive and you were farming it, so be it. It's if that account then gets used for massaging the attacking/raiding scores for an alliance. That's when it becomes an issue. If the account is in v mode, it would be impossible for that to happen.
