I have been playing Xtreme for a year...
it was fun..., active,,, and I lost a lot of fleet to the big guy.... but had fun...
The fun has gone!!
was it the last deletion of inactives..., or just a sign of the times???
who knows...
but.., after the last deletions the game slowed right down to almost nothing going on..
I know there have been pages and pages of ideas.., threats..., etc...
The facts are its died... to a large extent...
Now I know there are many reasons why it had to be done.... as some say..., and still say...
I have played on line games for 12 years...
and many times the "powers that be" make a decision...
and many dont like it... but the test lies here!!
what happens to the game after such a decision...
sometimes people cry out after an event ...., but the activity remains.., and noone really remembers after...
POINT IS..... if ACTIVITY remains...who cares what was changed!!!!
here however a lot have changed....
I used to love logging..., and find things going on...
Moons popped...., fleets crashed..., ppl chatting...., it was busy in our alliance...
and in other alliances...
I would sometimes log on and have to read 15 pages of chat... to catch up...
NOW..., I log to find 3 days of chat on 1 page....
I am still a noob in this game...,
as far as history..., etc etc....
but I have seen it go from a great game... activity wise..., to nothing happening...
Is it temporary..., will it recover to its former glory...
well some say so....
many say NO!!...
time will tell...
But I have tried finding the activity from days gone by..., and its not here...
How much time needs to pass before we know???
I believe the following...
and all this has been said before...
if there is more res.... inactives...,
for the beginners....
for the medium players...
for the big players....
then there is...
1. a reason to log..., to raid..
2. a reason to log.., to find a FLEET.. and could be a tiny fleet for medium player...
or a bigger fleet for a larger player...
3. a reason to log... to chat to others.... be they raiders.., fleeters..., or just chatters/social players...
4. a reason to log.., to just see what you missed last few hours...
Now... well day after day its the same....
some in vmode..., some out...
CHAT is dead...
in and out of alliance....
in ALL the games I played when the activity levels in that game dropped.... it was a RED light...
emergency...., FIX it fast....
Here it seems to go day by day..... and gets more quiet....
and YES!!... some great future ideas and ways to find and keep beginners...
but what about all the medium and other players...
SURELY its easy to see....
bring back last deletions of inactives... and give people the res to find...
the fleets to build...
I know many big fleeters just log from time to time hoping to find a fleet....
or log after one of their spotters see a fleet in rankings....
But you need the chat guys....
the ones that answer you when you say hello in chat...
not 8 hours LATER....
If the inactive moons bother the bigger players.., cause ppl fleetsave on them... find a solution.., but leave the res for people to grow..
why let them try raid a 500k planet..., and raid all day to get maybe 20 mil res...
makes no sense....
or let them all rely on mines...
then why log and be active.... just come in once a week...and collect...
NO need to sit and watch an inactive screen...
with update after update reflecting the same story....
this makes game inactive!!!!.
and people get bored...
I have started playing massacre..., but its not extreme... its got a fraction of the potential...
And I can see that it will never keep me interested...
its only good now cause I am busy building... researching...etc....
after it will be more boring than Xtreme...
I am only doing it till Xtreme gets fixed...

Umm, Moved. Also, having seen dead games, X is far from it. And having played for 6 years? Still chugging.

You're welcome to move on; many have. More always seem to come though.

the game has changed a lot in the last few weeks...
Gozar hit Hades...
now that I have never thought I will see...
Hades has been hit by most in and out of protection...
he always has.., or had fleet down...
but others would hit him....
and Gozar would do the Big kills...
but anyway.., there are a few like that...
cause people have stopped raiding... or waiting to catch smaller fleets...
thus less chances of fleeters catching fleet... cause less fleets are on the planets..etc...
You sitting on your mines, collecting res.. posting in forums..., and thats your game.....
so..., you might not have picked up what has happened..
But thank you for permission to leave the game...
and hope you right about others joining.. and getting to keep them here..
I just see a lot of good players that have cut down on playing time...
and it worries me..

I don't think evilbass would be posting this if he wanted to move on, Sloth... the game has become less fun for me too, lately... normally our alliance has 5-6 players in v-mode... right now we have 16 blue members... Raiding is less profitable, and the game is just a lot slower and less fun... Miners aren't going to see much change, nor are large fleeters, I agree... but I'm seeing fewer smaller fleets to hunt, and fewer raiding targets... This increases the power gap on X... I guess if that power gap is something people want to maintain, there's not really a problem... Some players are going to leave, but you're right, the server isn't going to die... It's just going to shrink a little and become a pointless exercise with no real competition and a select few who are always on top while other players cycle through, get frustrated, and eventually leave.

Yeah. That's my perspective, if anyone cares. I'm pretty sure everyone is tired of hearing what I have to say at this point, so kudos if you even read this.

but I was not even ready to raid...
so didnt really see an impact on me..
I was happy to hit any planets with 100k metal...
we were a group of about 30 guys that joined from another game...
but think only 2 still here..
most dropped out in 1st month..
and last few about 1 or 2 months ago left to another strategy game...

I'll be one of the few that will ask you to stay rather than tell you to leave. I don't care if you're a veteran or a noob, you are a player. Players make this game up and some can't see that. So all that I ask is that you stick around until you are completely sure Zorg isn't the game for you. But I can see why you want to leave, I am just asking you not to at this time... If you are looking for a fun universe, come over to speed...

All I can say EvilBass is things change, the game evolves. Things WILL pick up again. Farms get deleted, players come and go. Give it time. I can honestly say, (I am not in Xtreme much I know) but it will feel like Christmas will have arrived eventually. Things do get better, but there is often a trough of downs.

all I say is we need an more active game...
and it felt we were moving there.. just before...
But then you guys been around much longer..
so maybe there is a MASTER plan...

In game terms I'm even more of a noob. Joined June of last year, so about 8 months ago. I had absolutely no experience with games like this when I joined, for what it's worth. We're both relatively new players who have built up our accounts from scratch and tried hard to learn the game (I will say that in terms of account development evil is certainly no noob... My development is far behind his lol) Not sure how much my perspective or his perspective is worth, but I promise you we have both worked quite hard to do even as well as we have... And (to state the obvious) we have both become disheartened by the course the game has taken recently...
