So i've played on ZE since 2009 off and on, and played massacre from the day it was up and running. And lately i've noticed how dead it's been... there is literally like a total of 3 alliances that are active, and 10 players. Would it really be doing much harm resetting it? Would bring back some competition and have the same effect as a new universe really. Just a suggestion, any thoughts?
PS. To anyone who says it wouldn't be fair, look at the universe and you'll understand why i said this.
Re: resetting massacre?
#2Do it, Massacre is dead.

#3What about the players who have spent years growing accounts there:? There's enough action there atm to be of some interest to the big players. It's a lot more casual than other unis and is nice to chill out in: )
I do think sprog would object to this as well.....
he didn't just grow his 11 mill fleet for it to disappear because some players aren't happy.
If it does go ahead, as long as players get to keep their current accounts id be fine with it

#5However, to suggest an alternative: Give mass a unique selling point.
When elite recies were put into only mass for testing a whole bunch of players from x created accounts in mass to play with the new ship.
Make mass really different from other unis, e.g basic settings /add buildings /add cosmic events (e.g fleets traveling through 'dangerous systems ' can lose a % of total fleet to a randomized event. It wouldn't take much coding and would MAKE MASS AWESOME and attract more players.
I have tons of simple but effective ideas on how to revive mass: D
I've brought a batch of rubies recently, but if zorg does implement something along these lines they can expect to see $100 in rubie purchases appear in their bankaccounts

Re: resetting massacre?
#8hey, standard coudl use something other than the eerie peace as well!
I've considered the idea of resetting stuff before, as long as what players have achieved in the past isn't lost then I think its reasonable. From as little to a link to the old profile, to medals for your final rank (after resources from stockpiles have been converted to points at whatever rate is normal in that universe), to bonuses starting with 'that account' based on how far you were beforehand.
