Then hit profile

And avatar. You can only have a small avatar. I think it was like 75 by 75 or 130 by 130. I'd have to look again.

For the record, the actual link path for setting your avatar is:

User Control Panel (from any forum page after logging-in) > Profile > Edit avatar

Actually, I just figured out what your original instructions meant and it works as well as my link path. Living in Japan has eroded my English comprehension. Apologies.
