What is trolling? I always thought it was flaming the initial poster on what the Op posted...

I apologize for going off topic, but I have heard this term before, and I don't understand what it means. And is this even on topic anymore?

a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

As others before you have been told.... search and read.... this is something that is actually in the rules...perhaps you should read them.
