Re: Proposed Massacre Reform

Any ideas on Storage Dens costs/capacity? Should we use them with the same cost/capacity as in Generals? Any objections/suggestionns on this?

Standard Res 9metal,crystal,deut) for rubies is never gonna happen. Expeditions for rubies is the idea.
We could add the 25% research option but instant research will not happen as there is a big infrastructure that accompanies researching (research labs + irn).

DuctTape, the tech you describe aout recyclers is the most probable scenario as we prefer to implement something that could be later used to other universes as well.

The instant recharge jumpgate for rubies might be too powerful? Jumping resources with jump gate might too be too powerful? I will await further feedback for these 2 ideas.

Smaller moons are better avoided. Especially for Massacre who has got the ruby option for moons only recently. We want to encourage moonshots.

My suggestions on the two ideas of insta JG recharge and jumping res with fleet. Why not limit it to make it the same for all involved?

You can insta recharge the JG once per 96 hours and that would mean all your Jump Gates, not just that one.

Limit the amount of resources to 50 million total, whether it be all duet or any combination of resources.

as for jumping res no need for that also it dont take long to send a fleet from 1 place to another.
No need for imperial support, just raid a lot. No need for ruby moons, just do moonshots until you get a big one. No need for...

Yeah but the point is the myplus features are a handy shortcut, that's why people use them.

I like the idea of limiting it by time. The same should apply to other ruby purchases, limit how often you can do them.

I defiantly agree with the compression physics, although im curious about how the 'Dysphon Sphere' would be implemented and what it would actually do.
Storage dens, Good idea but there should be a limit to what level you can reach. They are nicely off set by the 100% raiding though. I look forward to seeing what else you can come up with :D go Zorg!!

I lost begining on all universes.. new players want to play but not on an old universe where some players have over 100mil points.. gen tourn uni is a very very good idea..but the time (2 months) is too short to make players to use ruby..and is better to cut delay between rounds..

I agree with the above point... All of the 4 main universes have huge established accounts, and newbies are going to have to be very very patient to reach that level. I saw a lot more enthusiasm for Generals because everyone was starting out new. Perhaps it would be possible to start a permanent new server every 1-2 years? I think people would invest more time and effort into that than a temporary 2 month tournament.

Also let's not have the servers too similar to each other... each one should have some unique features.

I'd agree with a new universe, one which has the same battle engine and ships as massacre, the resource production, building/research and fleet speed as speed, with the same number of colonies as Xtreme. You could even make it like Generals and include a colonization technology, so that people have the option to advance it as far as they like.

I think this would keep more interest, mostly because massacre is slow, as is Xtreme. and speed could use more colonies to let the "undeveloped" players advance easier. Just my thoughts.

As for the other things being spoken about, such as instant jumpgate cool down, and jumping resources, I disagree. These aren't needed, and would take away many aspects of the game, and make people leave the game faster. With instant jumpgate cool down and resources being jumped, I could have caught many more fleets, a lot faster.

Personally, I don't like storage dens. The detract a lot from the pvp aspects of the game as previously profitable hits become unprofitable to hit. .. it you want to stop people taking your res go build defense.. at the very least storage dens could be weakened a bit and have a max level.
Thanks Zorg, I look forward to more discussion on this page

what ? defense ?
nah they dont work
doesn't matter how big is ur defense if u dont have enough fleet to support it , its useless

there is always some people who can kill ur defense and if u leave a little resources in ur planets or dont collect ur daily production from mines for 1 day , someone will attack u and u will loose both ur res and a huge part of ur defense
there is also some players who want to get in scorboard and for that they will bash ur defense it happened lots of times .

so we really need storage dens especially in speed which has faster mine production so plz Zorg do it faster ^^
