Alliance Defending

1st I would like to Thank Zorg for finally implementing the change in fleet speed options





Zorg wants more "Player - vs - Player'" activity rather than just farming inactives

Then;

I would like to suggest another change to Zorg Empire,
that was on another site where this game was played,

A -- "PoP - Up"-- message of an attack on an Alliance mate
anytime an alliance mate came under attack,
all members of the alliance, got the message giving the specifics of the attack fleet,
this gave the larger fleeters of the alliance of an opportunity to protect the smaller players,
even when they were not online, an ACS Defend fleet could be launched,

i like it,,,but instead of a pop up perhaps an overveiw message instead,,,as my computor crashes when ever i get pop ups really ...lol also it would be more noticeable and developable if it were just a message in the overview

that woudl be interesting, i would like to see some limitations on this though, as this makes defending even easier.

i would rather see attacking become easier or rather more profitable. (there is a quiet suggestion on df collection increase which few people have supported hint hint nudge nudge)
that would increase the amount of pvp

Its not easy to ACS Defend,
1st, u need to have a fleet available,
be close enough to your buddy that your fleet time is faster than the attacking fleet,
and have enough Deut. available and you are willing to spend to defend an Alliance mate

But it does add to the "risk" of attacking a player even if he is offline
when there is a good chance you will run into an ACS Fleet,
or the possibility of a Ninja on your fleet as it returns home

as it stands now,
the only way you know a Mate is under attack is if they PM you or post it in the Alliance Chat,

One of the complaints now is,
its almost impossible to crash the larger players fleets,

this gives you and your alliance chance to PoP some of his fleet


Having played on a site where this was active,
I can say from experience,
it adds a new dimension to the game and created a lot of Player - vs - Player action

This would barely change my existing gameplay style so I am not opposed, however while your points are valid, the reality is there is more information available for defensive purposes, roamers will become more valuable and necessary for medium level hits.

however consider moon destroy missions... traveling across one planet slot is roughly 2 hours? where sending lg's from an adjacent GALAXY will still have time to intercept after gathering deut from nearby.



I like the idea of being able to defend alliance members though, perhaps there needs to be some kind of limit where an attack will be visible to alliance members though? this way long range missions are easier to achieve.
some mechanics kind of like...
attacking missions are visible to alliance members when they are 45 minutes away by default, this is extended by the defenders espionage tech but reduced by the attackers espionage tech (perhaps +2% for the defenders tech per level, -1% for the attackers espionage tech per level)

at least then moon destroy missions woudl have some cover.
this is kind of what i mean by limitations.

while i LIKE this idea, i see it as a little too overpowered if its taken as all missions show up, personally i woudl avoid attacking hostile alliance members where i can be ninja'd. I don't know about some of the larger players, but with the recent 1% fleet speed, maintaining a large fleet will be easier.
SOME kind of attacking boost ought to be provided.

the small dudes will not need to worry at all about being attacked and the largest fleeters would not need to fleetsave and they have the entire alliance free of worry.

even if an attack is seen, if no1 is in range to block it its no good.

you're under the assumption that there will always be someone capable of managing a ninja everywhere online.

Its not as bad as you make it out be.


besides, kami attacks, you can't block a kami attack, only launch recs in the hope of getting there first.
