In order to provide a uniform and fair trading environment, the following rates of trade apply:

3- 3.5 Metal
1.5- 2 Crystal
0.5- 1 Deuterium

and ruby conversion is banned....!

however the above post is actually ambiguous as it does not actually state what the rate applies to ...

ie 3-3.5 metal to what?

Back on topic, the in game merchant's trade rate (4:2:1) should also be taken into account. But I'm too lazy too talk about economics. XD
