Well, after some consulting it appears the following happens:
-Regenerated defence does not count as TD even in the combat report generated. (Torgard is right)
-Combat sim does not regenerate any defence so this is why it shows full td

What used to happen:
-Regenerated defence would count as td in combat reports

Why this was changed:
To create a more accurate statistics history. Do note that they were people crashing defence all over just to raise their statistics.

What we can do:
1.Add one row to the combat report to show TD without taking in mind defence regeneration (still, the other value will be counted in user stats).
2.Add one row to combat sim to include possible TD based on defence regeneration (which will be a bit off as there are chances included in regeneration)

that doesn't alter the reason to attack ... just makes it harder to advance...

you'd be better off having two stats 1 for fleet destroyed and the other for defence destroyed...

What we can do:

1 what do you mean by shield regeneration? why does shield affect the regeneration... or is this a hidden effect of ion cannons.. which supposedly provide protection for higher defenses....
or did you just mean defence regeneration?

2 yes just applying the 70% factor to the td would improve the sim report ... perhaps with a note to say its only a sim after all and values are NOT GUARANTEED..

perhaps i could be reading this wrong but...what the heck do you mean advance? whoever got defense bashed is still going to get 70% of their structures back..depending on what they have it will very as to which 70% they get returned to them..but regardless if they have 1 billion in defense structure points than after the attack they will have 700mil..the ONLY thing that will alter this is much like ships structures that require deut to build will not see points returned for gauss,plasma,heavy and light lasers so the "actual" 70% still varies.

plenty of data telling everyone the sims are not 100% but merely a glimpse in to the potential outcome of the battle to come.Whenever multiple targets to be destroyed are involved there is going to be multiple ways the battle can go if you send 'JUST' enough.When in doubt send more...and if the shield regeneration of your ships in last box in last round of sim is zero but it still tells you that a zero loss is gonna happen..it is lying.make sure when sim tells you zero loss that there is still a value in left under your ships in the shields portion..this will be the best way to determine an actual zero loss going off a simmed report

by advance i meant progress up the stats tables.. making you look harder... its all about the score... now that they are recorded and displayed...
it is immaterial how much the defence gets regenerated , to the raider its just in the way... the sooner its gone (and cheaply) the better... its up to the defender to decide on there resource (defence) management strategy(s)
