#3Or build up a fleet, but they go away just as fast when your fleet is destroyed.

Re: Points
#4raid a lot and spend the money on anything... points gather based on money spent. the best way to get points without ever worrying about losing them is to spend on infrastructure like mines and solar plants

Am I missing something here? Why are you asking this question, or any question regarding building etc, when there is a big (b) beside your name in the galaxy view
Just when you thought your were in control... I proved you wrong!

Building a fleet is the probably the best way to advance quickly in the game, but also the most risky. With a fleet, you can crash and raid higher level targets. However, with a fleet you will be targeted much more often by more powerful players.RichardHJW wrote:Or build up a fleet, but they go away just as fast when your fleet is destroyed.
I say that from experience. I was hunted vigorously by many players throughout my game playing. Now, I keep a list of every player I have come across with a fleet.

Re: Points
#9Of course not, he means you buy rubies as a new player and use the Imperial Support function to quickly research the necassary technologies to colonise, thus advancing much faster than without. In later game the rubies can be used to give you a pretty big boost in your mining income, provided you have decent level mines. And a boost in the effective power of your fleet.Khan wrote:You can get points from Zorg rubies?Slash wrote:Buy Zorg rubies.

#10Though I have only played a few online games, I have supported all the ones I have played. It may not seem like it, but even the 2.99 Euros or about 6 American dollars help. All you need is a bank account or a credit card.
As far as help in the game, I did buy Zorg rubies though i didn't use them for Imperial support or boosting mines. I have used them to instantly build Lunar bases and Phalanxes on moons and to boost Weapons, Armor and Shield by 15%. The first, more for convenience than anything else, the second for the advantage though not huge, worth it.
Mostly I use the Zorg rubies for instant trades which is very helpful and in my opinion, the best use of the Zorg rubies. Though I still make physical trades with others. I had started with 10 and got a bunch more from the Admin for pointing out some issues. I didn't really use them until I was a little bit established, but they definitely help. After I used a couple and saw that it was a way to support the game, I went ahead a got a bunch.
If you are old enough to play Zorg, you are old enough to have your own bank account. If you can afford a computer and Internet access, you should be able to afford 35 zorg rubies. Supporting the game not only provides the $$ the team needs, but is also a nod of approval that you appreciate the hard work that they have put in. I recommend everyone get Zorg rubies, even if you don't plan to use them. Funny that people spend more money on trading cards or a beer at the local pub, but for some reason can't afford to pony up the little amount of $$ it takes to support the game.
