Its a decent guide, though I personally view you are making players dependent on alliances, and to not join an alliance that doesn't give 'em free res. In my opinion a player should be able to be self reliant, because not every alliance will be like "OMG! If you join you can have sooooooooooooo much res!!!!" more stable alliances should be based off something more substantial, like a uniting cause. (oh and that res. situation would likely lead to infractions of milking rules)
