I’m trying to find something to base my account upon,
Something in this strange uni that goes on and on.
As the years go by and time fades away,
What used to be "good days" are now filled with dismay.
Tomorrow comes, and then again, it goes,
And my ambition to become something more, grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away,
The points I want now, gets closer each day.
All I've ever wanted was something to grow for,
I don’t want to be this little player anymore.
I’ve been basing my account upon what others think,
I wish I could go back and redo everything, every time an eye would blink.
I've fought to become who I am and what I want to be,
I have to remind myself that one day, I will be free.

The n00b fleeter starts his day,
spamming the universe with constant dismay.

He plucks the courage without any heed
to send his fleets to complete his deed.

On their return, resources earned
realised his planet just got burned,
without hesitation, he just learned
being a n00b he got CHURNED!

People begin having a gander
He tells them to STFU and go to Rwanda
He thinks that by cursing he looks real big
When in fact in real life we all know he's a guniea pig.

Here is my attempt for this competition.

I call this poem:

"Failed Fleet Save."

I woke up this morning earlier than usual.
It was 6:00 AM and and I had to be at work by noon.
At that moment, I realized I had forgotten something,
The night before, I was raiding and left my fleet on my moon.

In a panic I tried to log on to the Zorg empire website.
It seemed like it took forever to get to my overview,
My heart was pumping fast because I knew others wanted my fleet,
And once I got there a cry of outrage I did spew.

My worst fears had become true,instead of my fleet, I saw red.
My thoughts went rampant trying to figure out who attacked me.
I quickly glanced at my inbox to see a dozen probe reports,
and there were five attacks as well that I could see.

After a few moments of frustration,
I decided to try to salvage what I could.
I built a few recyclers,
but I soon found out that was no good.

My attacker seemed to be thinking ahead,
He sent recyclers to follow the attack.
At that moment I knew,
none of my resources I would get back.

I sent my attacker an nice message,
I congratulated him as I knew I was beat.
Received a response "GLOTR".
Now it is time to rebuild my fleet.
