Here are development teams's two proposed tweaks to improve scoreboard/stats:
a)Exclude defense bashing from attacker & defender stats (A minimum of 5% of total amount lost in battle must be fleet in order for defense stats to count in scoreboard and statistics.)

b)Transport of resources to inactive planets or moons will no longer be possible.

If you like them or have more and/or different ideas, feel free to share.

This may come as a surprise, but I think defense bashing should be left in the attack stats. Sending the fleet to make the attack cost fuel just like any other attack. It is risky, just like any other attack and just as much chance of missing the hit and gaining no profit. Perhaps it should be tracked seperately, but I think it should be tracked.

As for the second change, anything that makes it easier for you to catch cheaters is ok with me. Manipulating the stat board in this way cannot be justified as anything but petty.
Outside the box? What box?

I like the scoreboard. Zorg is a dangerous place to compete and tracking stats enhances that. They need to be legitimate, but the more complicated the better. I think it would be fun to see life time stats broke down to player vs player and alliance vs alliance. This is a strategy game, let's get deep.

This has been implemented.

We will now work on this:
a)Exclude defense bashing from attacker & defender stats (A minimum of 5% of total amount lost in battle must be fleet in order for defense stats to count in scoreboard and statistics.)

About the ongoing task - what about the resources stolen? There could be no debris, but still profitable... Maybe include it too (Supposing 5% again)

I agree with DoctorWho. if an attack is made for a profit-and not just to bash defenses it should count. 5-10% would be adequate.

Great idea, but I don't think it should be based solely on ship loss but also on the amount of resources taken - a minimum of 25 million as a suggestion - because even a battle with only defense lost can be a good hit if there is some nice res involved.

We cannot use fixed amount of resources as this would throw small players out of the feature.
Already made a point about battles having large resource gains being counted in attacker / defender rankings...I later became neutral on the idea. The res is already counted on the raider rankings. So why, essentially, have it count twice?

Is this really important ? And if yes, can you explain why this would be better for the game ?

late to game but with work consuming much of my time forum reading has been put on back burner as i turn my play time attention to watching what is going on in speed.

But i will explain how this helps others and could slow me down(if that is possible).the biggest reason Ducttapes idea is needed is i can track every active players online times without a single probe just by watching their resource gain.Furthermore i can take it 1 step further and watch major battles take place on stat page and since i have everyones planet locations logged i can track where the battles took place in less than 30 seconds and know where someones fleet is whether they are on fleet rankings page or not.Everyone knows i think outside the box more than others and represent a small percent that hunt the same way..but that small percent are the ones sitting a top the fleet rankings.

Even if it is not updated every 24 hours i strongly consider 12 hours be considered and have it coincide with when the final reset happens on each server since they all do not reset on the same day or time.

As for the other thing about defense bashing for res..all ideas i have seen on it have excluded players that worked for their rips and or fleet and can take zero loss hits. You cant say this

and then impliment a system that excludes the top players or forces them to send fodder when fodder isn't needed just to have their attack count on stat page.

People build Defenses cause they 'think' they will be safe and lured into a false sense of security.I build defense to force someone to send max possible ships at me when they attack(wha it happens twice a year ;) )...thus creating a bigger ninja possibility.

My suggestion is to move this to way back burner and use developers time in more important areas..like why all capital ships outside RiPs have a RF of 5 against sats and LG(a ship designed for fighting Rips) has a RF of 150.

Those are just my thoughts on subject take from it what you will.
