adding to what said u can also make yourself unprofitable by spending everything u have everyday. the point is staying low on resources than what your defense is able to protect.

usually its the attackers who goes for resources that would make a defense bash profit. unless the resource is worth the time and fuel cost of the attacker they most probably wont attack you. also take consideration of the fact that in a war or rage pawnage situation an attacker may not care about profit but just the Total Damage.

for the later scenario turtle shells are a bulls eye target for attacker cause they cannot be moved.
