Terminator attacked me a while ago, so a couple of missed runs later I thought I would never catch him. I kind of got obsessed over hunting him, and probed day and night. This is of course way wrong. So I left him, until he thought he was safe. Slipped into the system below him and waited for his fleet to come in. He is now in vmode.
