Re: Xero 2,222,850,800 vs Sid 2,222,850,800 or Sid VS Xero..

You guy's make me laugh...Few facts.. 1st off... This is either a bad FS or a fleet feed... Either way Sid had to have fleet saved on ACS defend...with a hold time..Looking at a few points I am certain the FS was from his moon to a Planet..as the moon in question does not have a ASC depot... My guess is a certain player was probing the for said planet with view to raiding it... I am sure to their surprise they discovered a reinforcement fleet acs defending the planet... Like all good fleeters they simple got the deut in place simmed and Attacked...this player would have had NO idea who's fleet was defending until after the battle.. as with all acs defends the defender receives the accreditation.. My Guess is Pulsar was the lucky defender.. but this is just an educated guess..I could tell you why I say this but that would be giving to much info away...

I will say glotr Sid..a poor choice of FS in my opinion...Oh and Sid will not know who the defender was if the battle was over in the 1st round..

lol! I am flattered that you think of me Gozar (indeed, it is tempting to just take credit and add to the myth and intrigue surrounding my character), but, I assure you, I was not the one behind this.

Gozar, your theoretical account of what transpired is not consistent with the data at hand. Here is why: If the events occurred as you described them (i.e. Sid set his fleet on ACS defend with hold time on Xero's planet and was attacked), Xero would be showing on the defender's board (Sid would be showing no damage) and whoever crashed Sid would have gained complimentary attack points. As we see, this is not the case. Sid is the one who took the damage, and the inactive player Xero inflicted the damage, leaving the player responsible for the crash a complete mystery. The only reasonable explanation for this is that Sid was fs-ing (or whatever he was doing...) using an Attack mission. As you correctly noted, there is no depot on the moon, so Sid must have been attacking the planet when the anonymous player intercepted him with a defending fleet.

The odd thing here is that no moons were lost on either account... I suppose it is possible that Sid accidentally launched an incredibly botched fs from planet to planet instead of moon to moon and was caught on lanx and intercepted, but this strikes me as incredibly unlikely. The fact that there are only a few active players I know of who could cleanly take out a fleet of Sid's size makes this stranger still...

Forgive my speculation, but I am beginning to suspect this whole thing was a prearranged fleet crash where Sid donated his fleet to the anonymous player. This, to me, seems more likely than an incredibly poor fs that someone just happened to catch on lanx.... In my version of events, an anonymous player defended Xero's planet, and Sid simply attacked the planet, intentionally crashing his entire fleet. This would result in the attacker and defender scores we see. This might also explain why the player responsible for the crash is unwilling to step forward... Who that player might be, I honestly am having a hard time figuring out...

Thank you mickylove..I stand corrected... Sid had to be the attacker for it to show the damage against him..therefore not a acs defend...Or a screwed up fleet save..imo...The intriguing thing is, if a fleet save on attack with his whole fleet how would anyone even know... to defend that planet.. as xero being inactive could not tell anyone of an incoming fleet.. The only other possible explanation would be someone was acs defending their fleet at the same time with a hold time.. Yet this is so unlikely as to be impossible..more for the reason the damage against the defender is less than 5kk (possible probe fodder)...because of Sid's 113 rips within his fleet would have certainly done more damage than that to a fleet saving fleet with probes recyclers and other smaller ships...

I am of the opinion that Zorg needs to checkout this CR... because this is fleet feeding..imo...where this is allowed on retirement..there is no question of this.. Why try and hide the recipient. I am of the opinion that the defender had prior knowledge of the event sent a good size defending fleet only and waited for Sid to crash his fleet..I also believe that Sid could have sent his fleet in waves to make sure the defender lost very little..(4,880,000) to be exact.

Why is it that ZE makes rules and some players seem to find ways of bending breaking them...or simple try and circumvent them...The idea of retirement hits was to keep things clean and in the open... I apologise if I am wrong in any way, yet some how this time I don't think I am... So please Zorg check this battle out and make sure your rules are being kept to...

I also apologise to Pulsar for my earlier statement... if you were not involved..
