I, myself, am a player. When I act as a moderator you will know it. I separate the two very clearly and professionally. I 'police' the forums when I need to. Other than that, I use the forums just like you.

If anything I've said strictly offends you - please inform me and I will be sure to make it right.

I am not impressed nor intimidated in the least... If just existing here for 3 years makes you a Legend.... Then they must be.
I will say that as we grow.. we will be harder to pick on as many like to do... and as we gain strength.. we will become more than capable of relieving any Boredom they may suffer.
So while anyone can bash defenses and feel like they are supreme... we will concentrate on taking Fleet. That is the makings of True Legends. The most basic Tenet of War..is to eliminate your opponents capacity to wage it. While I appreciate your concern for SGA's well being.. I am surprised that Mods

Well said the past means nothing, Legends are made on a day-day basis and old ones are replaced by the young bloods eventually...And hatter remember we mods are players/people too :P

Keep your heads focused and start putting some tactics together. Because pretty soon, they're going to get bored. Just think yourself lucky that you're not facing Phoenix Institute...
Ha Ha...we are just a bunch of n00bs that can't fleet, especially me. I am just riding the coat tails of another n00b named Gumppy. Not like he has done anything in this universe, right?

He's not important at all ;).

I will say that I'm thankful for an active war rather than one that just sits and festers in the corner. We've needed a good war for a while.

@ Lightning.. nothing you said was offensive.. I am just not used to seeing Mods as Players.. some aspects of this game is strange to me.
Likewise I hope you took no offense to my remarks.. I am not flaming you.. just speaking my mind.
Should I offend anyone.. let me know and if I happen to care.. I will promptly apologize.
And I do realize..there are many great Fleeters and Players and Alliances out there... 8-)

The SGA came to Zorg in trying times. Many of us had been playing another game for years and logged in find that it was being shut down. This after a year of server and coding problems, heaped with promises of improvements, was devastating. It’s just a game, but we all know what kind of time gets invested into it. On that faithful day SGA Zorg was born. At it’s core was half a dozen alliance veterans, but we picked up remnants of many other alliances. It was easy to be cocky. We suddenly had an alliance packed full of top 20 players and alliance leaders.

We grew fast and I don’t know the conversations, but I know we were quickly noticed. As our members started passing out of noob protection, we were tested. Real life took its toll, some returned to our old game in its new incarnation, and others just quit. In that environment came our cauldron. Many of the new players we picked up were trouble makers and we clashed with those entrenched in the game. We were the new kids and didn’t know who to rely on but ourselves. That’s when the Phoenix Legends first came onto our radar. As revenge for a ninja against 200 hundred of his battle cruisers, he popped our moon. We would have taken those out as well, but didn’t realize you could not ACS defend a moon destruct at the time.

We made friends and we made enemies. Rumors circulated that alliances were plotting against us and paranoia was rampant. Even unfounded, fear is good in these games and we carried on. The next cathartic moment for the alliance was the 2nd PL war. In short, we managed to disband ourselves. Let me assure you, there is no better way to start a downward spiral. Dreams of the top ten started wane and players seemed to melt away without replacement.

I’m glad to say it didn’t take long for the great resurgence. We brought in quality gamers who’d never played and expert strategy game players from an Other game. As they grew we became something fresh and powerful again. We were challenged by DIE and survived, strengthening friendships already born. Then came the third war to weld us all into place.

Perception is our personal reality and for us, PL are the bad guys. Three wars, revenge motivated moon pops, defense bashing (between wars), derogatory planet names, and baiting messages, then the bitterness and rules manipulation of this war. They may be legends to some, but to us they are the lurking cancer to be burnt away. I tried to diffuse the tension between us. I offered to Pein an opportunity to put a stop to the growing sense of loathing. Instead, here we are. Hopefully it’s all a good show for the rest of the server, because your perspective is just as important as our own.

For us it’s merely a burning oven, our crucible, melting us down into constituent elements. Stripping away the weak and unneeded. If we remain at all, what is left will be the new definition of Legend.

First time I notice u is when I saw ur alliance name since I was leader of alliance with same theme ( it was cool).
Soon ur members start grow and spread the galaxy. One was close to me and I spy him,saw nice res and took it...And then like u sad, trouble makers...Start with bad language and IPM with no reason...

The rest we know.

But let me tell u a little story.

One of our members( before SGA) was just like ur trouble makers member... I spy him, he send bad messages and like few already knows Destruction almost took my fleet... Me and my bro kill few of his moons and I found his fleet but I didnt destroy it, I explain him that there is no need for bad sportmanship...He understand what he done and now... We are now best friends.

The point is, ur members caused all this with bad language and bad sportmanship...

I say forget the past, go for the future after this. I really hope so.

flapper..man u do write..i love your thinking..too bad we're not on the same side i would have loved pointers from u...that article is BEAUTIFUL...i love it..
back to the game..Yes there has been bad blood between us...come on i still remember my 10k l.gs....of-course i took out my revenge....
look if half ur members were like u..this wouldn't be happening...they leave resources and when they are hit they start insulting and ipming....that's fine by me..but when u retaliate they start complaining..i took a few fleets before my last v mode..am still getting insults though am rarely on...
i have grown to like a few people up in the Sga...and they've impressed me..
so i'll say this, be a leader and teach em..even gods get angry when u insult them..and there aim after that is to teach u a very hard lesson.
and our past is wat makes US who we are today...it matters cause IT IS WHO U ARE.
WARS COME AND GO BUT MY SOLDIERS REMAIN IMMORTAL.

I firmly believe that and alliance stays vibrant by taking in new members. Problems always come with that, but so do the rising stars of the game. We have several young players that will be the talk of Zorg next year, if we're all lucky and they stick with the game. Everyone knows ( I hope ) the SGA doesn't promote or tolerate abusive language, but we do give second chances so our rep will have to take the abuse.

Still, players are often removed for not maintaining our standards and chances do run out. I hope that anyone that recieves ill treatment from our membership tells me or another of the command staff.

As for IPM raids, I don't use the tactic. However, members are allowed to use the tactic as a deterant to future attack. They are informed it may simply make things worse for them, but some do it anyway. I know it irritates some, but so does retaliating with moon pops and derisive planet names.

Abusive language is indefensible. We have chldren and seniors, grandmothers and ladies who play this game. Not everyone talks like a proverbial sailor, and they shouldn't be expected to here it. Talk with you skill and your ships.

All that said, I complement PL on their sportsmanship through all of this. It's their own version and I don't agree with many things they've done, but no one from the alliance has been rude to us. In fact, their only members I would ever accuse of it has been hiding in VM, since we took the majority of his fleet in week one.

Kudos to the Phoenix Legends. We hate you, but we respect you.
