the planet near him was set up only days before war ws declared, and we hadn't even broken through all his defenses until war was declared. Also we didn't just say one day "lets war [A~O]" we had over 100 of your planets located before official war was declared. So of course attacks would be made before this thread, they just had to remain in bashing limits. come on now guys...

Well considering this is a game it would have been cool and fair if you guys told us you wanted to war and we could have set up a day when the war was going to begin.(even when it ends).
Its not fair for an alliance almost full of new players who are still learning including me, o challenge them over a game and trying to have a foot ahead.I dunno if you wanted an easy win in a game or whatever but I assure you we have organized ourselves and we didnt wimp out of this war.We are doing very well and we learned a lot so far.

I do not intend to talk you down, in fact I praise you for not making this thread like every single other one on this page. Also you guys have been putting up one hell of a fight, its pretty messy so no one side is clearly ahead, but I am planning for us to. Plus I see how quickly you got things together, I was looking at the news section of your forum quite impressed. Though I'm getting tired of all this "new player" crap. Yes you have plenty of new guys, we have quite of few over here ourselves, but you have plenty of strong guys as well as Slash helping you out. So please don't play "poor me" this is war for christ's sake, it not like were going to send you perfumed letter stating we shall be engaging in battle only pitting certain players against their equals. We all know that's not how its gonna happen, i've been nailing planets knock out sat need to run 'em, hit a few fleets, as well as broke down dome defenses, against those stronger and weaker. But I sure as hell get on the edge of my seat watching your probe me praying my little fleet survives another day.

I dunno, this whole forum for wars leaves a bad taste in my mouth.... especially when the rules are twisted and so unclear....

I would guess that Slash was leaning towards A-O based on Memel being a more established alliance, looked around and found some soft targets nearby and contacted A-O to get them to defer the cost of the Deut in a resource trade in exchange for hitting one or more of the guys from Memel.

It may leave a bad taste in your mouth, but war is war and this is a war game. As you probably know, I have monitored your progress for awhile and you are doing really well as is your alliance, 9Hells. However, the slope gets much steeper from here. Most of the top fleeters don't look for a reason to attack anyone outside of having a good fleet to recycle for profit. Slash made the best of a good opportunity.

Most alliances will not declare war for the reasons you state. It makes both alliances more vulnerable to 3rd party attacks and publicizes those who have been hit. You can be sure the vultures will circle the easy prey.

In the end though, it is fair and part of the game. You are right about declaring war in this game, it rarely has a winner. Usually, just a bunch of whiners.
