If they are forcing you to stay, that is just even more reason to leave IMO. BTW I believe this alliance has disbanded? Not found in search and ahsan is in AoD.

If you fleet save properly and spend all your resources, you have not worries.
On the other hand, if he attacks you, You are close enough to retaliate. And if I know Ahsan, he will continue to pound the guy silly.
You have nothing to worry about. Make the move.
