Virtual Market

What about we could build a Market on our planet. Where we can buy and sell resources (or Zorg Roobies).
In stead of "Merchants", it can be replaced with "Market".
You can sell resources for another amount of resources. For example:

"Player 1 sells 300.000 Metal and gets 150.000 Crystal from player X instead". (2x1)
This could be teleportated(?) or transferred by cargo ships.

"Player 2 sells 150.000 Metal for 150.000 Crystal from player X for example" (1x1)
Okay now, Plaxer X would make more profit from player 1, right? Because he gets more metal for selling his crystal.

Each upgrade level alouds you to go further in the solar system.
For example I have a level 1 Market, then I can only sell (or buy from) to planets in Solar System 1 to 10.
If I would have a level 10 Market, then I can only sell (or buy from) to planets in Solar System 1 to 100.
And so on untill you reach another galaxy..

What do you think about it? :)

With cargo ships I can trade resources without range limitations. I am not seeing how this benefits the game.

I'm not saying this would 'replace' trading.. Let me ask you, with who do you trade with? With people of your alliance, or people you know right..? Well that's how much, 2-3 people you trade on a regular base perhaps?

Look, the benefit of this would be:
- You could trade with ALL users, without even asking if they want to trade.
- You could trade at ANY time, just make the transaction and the cargo ships would go on to their path.
- You won't have to worry about people not giving the amount of resources back when you give them resources.
- It would add value to the game, who wouldn't want to have a market place in a game, where you can trade resources like in real life? If you ad this in the game, the game gets a more real-life experience.

This game is now based on trust when trading, right? With the Market-function, everyone can trade with NO asking, just click on the offer. And there wouldn't be untrustworthy players to worry about.

Suppose player A sells his resources on the market, the first player who arrives with the cargo ships would transfer his amount of resources for the amount of resources of player A. The other players return with no trade.

Common, who sees also the benefits of a marketplace?

This idea is very similiar, almost identical to another game I have played. It kind of got out of hand on the other game as there was really no way to ensure that there was no cheating. So I am not for sure how it would work here.

No benefit. If someone screws me in a trade, I will simply get them. As for trading with many people i have had a week where i barely bothered to raid and I still bet I have traded with 10 players, and had to turn down another 10 trades simply because I didn't bother to raid the res to buy deut lol, trades are out there.

As for a market system. Terrible idea. I played a game with it and people would simply market save their resources putting up a random trade. Once trades would happen, that res would be at your planet with you offline. Players would also trade the res, then attack the guy they just traded. Simply awful for the game.

hell if someone screws up anyones trade in game just let the word out i will make that a personal business to take them out. apart from that a market wont be a bad idea but i dont mind doing business the usual way either.

If someone screws you over, you can just report him, or just post something in forums... a lot of players hate that kind of behavior, so he will get a lot of attention ;)

Proof.

Also, I'm with the others and I disagree with this idea for the above reasons.

Well, back on topic...

I do not like the idea of the Market. And it has been suggested in the past and disapproved.

There is no need for an "automated" system for trades. As stated above, if someone does not make good on a trade, there are plenty of players that are willing to help make that person's playtime a living nightmare. ;)
