OK,
I have bought this up before because its an annoying thing. Ok so before i had mentioned automatically cancelling an alliance but my new suggestion is different.
Alliances of 2 or more show in the rankings only and that any one man alliances do not show in the rankings for alliances. Players work hard to get a good alliance and its not good showing or viewing for them when single players just set one up pointlessly.
So im not saying you cant have a one man alliance, im just saying i would like them taking out of the alliance rankings unless they have at least 2 members
Re: ban one man alliances from rankings
#2I would agree with this. One man alliances aren't made for rank normally anyway (and if they are, you can easily compare your points anyway), so they don't need to be ranked.

#3think the only utility of such alliances are to be able to be included in acs attacks or to spawn one. agreed on it. there is no meaning of commutation if there is only participant and its taking out spaces where other alliances can push in and see a better comparison and target on what to go for.
Agreed on the idea.

#5I agree, although some one-man alliances might get some of their members by people browsing through the ranking list. Other than that, I think this would be a good idea.

You find most if not 95% of one man alliances are made because they want to be on there own. If they wanted to gain more players then thats what we have a great forum for

Re: ban one man alliances from rankings
#7Why ban em ?
This is a good way for good players to get members after all.

Re: ban one man alliances from rankings
#10I always thought alliances were a bit too carefree and frivolous in ZE, this being one of the reasons. If you don't want to list only real alliances in the rankings how about create a "charter" system, where you have to get the agreement of several (2+) players before an alliance is created.
For example, replace the current alliance creation system with the charter system, you can search for charters with tags and add your 'signature' to it through an app (creator must accept signature), once said charter has reaches a pre-set (by the player, but 2 minimum) amount of signatures, the alliance is created as normal.
This would no doubt solve this issue without altering the ranking script even more, as well as add a bit more seriousness to alliances as a whole.
